*2023 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT*
So many sweet moments with our little one that we have adored. 🤍
So many moments that we've enjoyed in this season of becoming a family of three, so much so that we had to make some decisions for our family:
I will NOT be doing bridal parties/special event hair and makeup for 2023. As much as the idea breaks my heart, my heart breaks even more thinking about all the weekends I will lose for all of our 'firsts' together as a family.
My grandpa always said, 'sometimes you have to let go of the good so you can make room for the precious.'
This is my precious. 🤍
I will be reaching out to my clients already booked for the coming year and make sure all are taken care of by some other incredible makeup boss babes, and appreciate the patience and understanding as I make my way through my list.
To my friends and family that have been a part of the MANY seasons of life with me, I am so grateful for all of your support as a stylist, makeup artist, t(hair)apist, and friend. I so appreciate the understanding as this was no easy decision to make, but I know it is the right one. 🤍
With much love, Rachel

Little life update for all my clients and the reason why the rest of my 2022 schedule is booked…
Booked with all the baby snuggles 🥰
Our sweet little girl joined the world early morning last Friday!
Meet Shiloh Quinn Roberts. 🥹

Hello hello!
Quick and somewhat exciting announcement that I should have made a while ago:
⎨MY 2022 MAKEUP SCHEDULE IS FULL 🙌🏼⎬
I only have a few weekends left open and I intend to keep them free this year due to baby Roberts joining the world in September. We want to soak up all the time before then that we can with our growing family as my past years have been booked solid with weddings! (of that which is INCREDIBLE. You all are so amazing!)
I am SO grateful for my incredible clientele turned family that has been along on this year's wild journey from the start, and would not be the artist that I am today without the trust you have placed in me for the past almost DECADE I have been doing makeup.
I will start booking for 2023 when we get a grasp for what having our own biological family looks like. Until then, know I am so thankful to be where I am today and could not have done it without you. 💛
Love you all!
- Rachel Roberts

📣 • ANNOUNCEMENT • 📣
I’ve been waiting to post this because this decision was not an easy one to make, but starting 2022 I will be taking a step back from doing hair. 💔
My husband and I are making big steps towards other life endeavors and for the season we are going to be in, we decided it was best to step back from doing hair and focus on makeup only. We need to allow for more time to meet the needs of what our next season of life will be. What that means is I will NOT be booking any haircut/colors for the foreseeable future.
* I WILL however still be booking weddings/bridal parties/engagement/all special event ~makeup~ through 2022. *
My 2021 salon schedule is already full, and for that I am SO thankful! Y’all, I seriously have the BEST clients. 🥰
And with that being mentioned, I am SO going to miss my clients!!! I have had the best two years as Rachel Marie Artistry, and almost 5 years as a stylist. In the last few years I have been apart of so many life moments with you all! From many highs and lows, big and little moments, life challenges and life celebrations, what an honor it has been to be a part of it all. ❤️
To my clients - Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a little part of your day once every few months, and opening up with some of the most intimate personal moments of your life for just a 2.5 hour appointment. Thank you for knowing I would never let you walk out not happy with your hair and keeping you until we are both ecstatic with the outcome. Thank you for waiting when I couldn’t get you in right away. Thank you for NOT box dying your hair while waiting! (🤣)
And finally, thank you for supporting me in my many life changes, including this one. 🥰
I will be messaging you all individually(please be patient as it takes time to do that!) helping to find the best fit for your hair needs and new hair Stylist/therapist, and getting you set for success in your future appointments. And let me tell you, I know some INCREDIBLE stylists. 💃
I will miss you all so much, but I look forward to our the new season of life we will be in.
With love, RMA 🤍

***BUSINESS SCHEDULE UPDATE***
✨ Hey ya’ll, Rachel here ✨
I spent this past week on my honeymoon (FINALLY!) and had such a fabulous time with my hubby after a six month Covid delay. This trip for us was really wonderful, and also opened my eyes to some things that I wasn’t doing right.
I have absolutely been putting my work first before my health, and taking a breather for the first time in months really showed me that.
Some of you may know that I have been struggling with Carpal Tunnel, and it’s been getting progressively worse to the point of pain and numbness on a daily basis. I realized that if I wanted to serve my clients year after year, I would need to make a change.
Effective October, I will be changing my hours to the following:
• Mondays: OFF
• Tuesdays: 12pm-8:30pm
• Wednesdays: 12pm-8:30pm
• Thursdays: OFF
• Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Wedding parties/Hair and Makeup appointments
With this new schedule I will no longer be doing:
*Men’s cuts
*Children’s cuts (12 and under)
*Any hair on new clients
This new schedule means I will not be able to carry the number of clientele I have currently.. This was such a tough decision because I truly LOVE what I do!! ❤️ But, without some healthy work boundaries and hours that allow me to have actual days off, I know I will work myself into the ground within six months and my hands will be the first to go. I’m choosing to SLOW DOWN my pace so I can run this marathon fully through for MANY years to come.
I will be reaching out to my clients as their appointments come up as soon as possible, but please feel free to reach out with any questions for me personally as well prior. I will find new ‘hairstylist homes’ for clients that are unable to wait as I want this to be as easy as possible for all. I do ask that you please be patient in the process of it all. I am only a one woman team, and know that I will get to all messages as soon as I possibly can to discuss further.
Thank you so much for understanding, and for supporting me thus far in my hair and makeup career. I look forward to making my clients feel beautiful for so many more years to come ❤️
With so much love,
Rachel Roberts, Owner of RMA

Start of week two back in the salon and it feels DANG GOOD to be back! How about a five hour transformation from today on this beautiful rapunzel of mine?
•
BONUS: She was a senior I glammed up (hair and makeup) with the ever so talented Gina Price Photography and this was the first haircut in a LOOOOONG time. She’s gorgeous with both, but what a fun and much needed breath of fresh air in this before and after!! Take a peak at one of her gorgeous senior pics for hair length reference.. 😦
•
Hey Gina, can we please start senior pictures again already?!?! 😏
•
Hello to my BEAUTIFUL clients!!! I get to see all of you soon!!! Just some things to keep in mind as I reopen May 1st, (although most appointments won’t begin until Monday May 4th) as allowed by the governor and phase one begins of businesses reopening.
Yes- salon's will reopen- at some point- different for every state, every salon, every stylist. You may disagree with me reopening, and I respect your opinion. But, your opinion on whether I should or shouldn’t open yet is unnecessary to share and not a welcome discussion in my chair. If so - Please let me know that you are not comfortable coming to an appointment yet, and I will fully respect and support that decision and get you in as soon as you feel comfortable! I PROMISE! 💜💜💜
What can CLIENTS do to help salons navigate a new normal...
▪️Know you were missed terribly and your stylist is grateful for your return. 💜
▪️Know new safety measures were created for all involved.
▪️Know the importance of coming ALONE...extra people in a salon compromises everyone, and CAN NOT happen for awhile.
▪️Know your stylist cannot physically work 16 hour days 7 days a week, rest is essential for all👌🏼
▪️Know that coming in sick IS NOT an option.
▪️Know that rescheduling hundreds of clients will take time, so please be patient. 💜
▪️Know that when you arrive you will need to wait until your stylist gives you the go ahead before entering the building, having your cell phone handy in your car will help considerably.
▪️Know that your stylist is thrilled to see you but cannot risk even a hug. Just your presence is the best hug ever. 💜
▪️Know that your health is the biggest concern.
▪️Know that your stylist may choose to open at a later date than the state your in has allowed, being respectful of that decision takes an unimaginable load off his/her brain and heart.
▪️Know your stylist has already lost thousands of dollars be patient we will work so hard to get you all in and get caught up. 💜
▪️Know that if your health is already high risk, you need to wait, your health is more important.
▪️Know that a 'soft opening ' will be anything but soft.
▪️Know that your opinion of the entire situation won't change laws and rules necessary for everyone's safety are, keep the conversation to hair and how we can make you beautiful. 💜
▪️Know that while trying to connect with your stylist there are hundreds of others attempting the same thing, responses will be slow coming as your stylist is preparing everything and answering everyone simultaneously.
▪️Know, above all else, no one is more excited about your arrival than your stylist- help make it the best appointment ever. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Together we can make this work safely for all clients and staff.
***Last Thing!!! Just until I get everybody settled, I’m going to really need every client to understand whatever time/date I offer you is THE EARLIEST I can get you in. Please do not ask if there’s any appointment sooner, as I have hundreds of other clients moving over as well. I have been out of my salon and not doing hair since before my wedding on March 14th. That means March 10th - April 30th, almost TWO months of appointments are being rebooked. I want to work as best as I can with your schedule, but please respect my time as a human enough to not run myself into the ground with a seven day/80 hour work week. Thank you for being patient and understanding in this CRAZY new season, and I’m so excited to see you soon.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
- Rachel
Friendly reminder: I am closed until MAY 1ST at the earliest.
Also: MISSING MY CLIENTS ❤️❤️❤️
To my dearest clients: I MISS YOU!!! ❤️
In this time, the governor extended the closure for another two weeks minimum until April 20th before salons can reopen. A $1,000 fine will be enforced if not followed.
I PROMISE I will do my best to accommodate all appointments that are in that time period! Furthermore, I will not reschedule you until I know for sure when I can reopen. I’ll work with you to the best of my ability to make sure we feel gorgeous at the end of all this, even if our roots are a little extra grown out 😘
ps - PUT THE BOX DYE DOWN AND LET THOSE BANGS GROW OUT. Let the pros take care of your hair.
My color corrections start at $75 an hour and most take 5+ hours over several appointments. So please refer back to the last statement before thinking about that L’Oréal box at Target for $8. (Even Sally’s. Just don’t.) 💃🤷♀️

A N N O U N C E M E N T:
Rachel Marie Artistry will be closing until further notice to help do my part in stopping the spread of this Virus that has taken top headlines everywhere. I believe we need to take this threat seriously and I want to be a part of the solution, not the problem.
In accordance with Governor Doug Burgum, I will be closed until April 6th at the earliest (but it may be later) and will be messaging clients with upcoming appointments throughout the next few days. In return, please be patient as it takes time to move clients around ❤️
To my clients:
I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU!!! ❤️ Know that when this is over, I will be doing my best to do what I can to fit everyone in while also keeping a healthy schedule for myself. I will take it week by week to when I will be coming back and doing your beautiful locks again. I speak for all stylists when I say this: please, give grace in this time as we’re all on a learning curve with how to handle this new unprecedented season.
PS: You’re beautiful as is, ALWAYS 😘
With love,
Rachel Marie ❤️

Meet the face behind Rachel Marie Artistry!
•
•
Hair and makeup have been a passion of mine for years, but that wasn’t always the case.. I grew up as a total tomboy, wearing my next days outfit to bed so I could get up and go to school as early as possible to play football in the morning. I only knew how to wear a ponytail (flat against my head with my hair part slicked down the middle 😬) and jeans with grass stains and holes in them. To top it off, I did not know who Taylor Swift was until I was almost a high schooler. I know.. pitiful 😂
•
•
But boy do I love what I do now.
•
•
Watching a woman walk in and sit in my chair - tired, overly exhausted because they haven’t put any self care to themselves since their first baby was born, to leaving my chair three hours later - a grin that won’t leave their face, a little bounce in their step for the first time in years, and a new confidence simply because they feel bold again. It’s that change that makes my day every time. No matter how many missed meal breaks, hair splinters, sliced fingers from that detail work put in to the best haircut I could give you, or extended hours on my own feet.. I really do love what I do and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.
•
•
Most days you’ll walk in and see me nowhere near as put together as this picture. Most days I’ll MAYBE have foundation on, unbrushed day four hair, other peoples hair allllll over my clothes and stains that look like a murder scene from a beautiful redhead that I did two years ago painted on my shirt. So don’t worry, it’s a judgement free zone here at RMA and you’re guaranteed a cup of coffee and a smile from me no matter what. You are beautiful before you sit down, but sometimes we need some little tweaks and self care time to help YOU realize you’re as beautiful as you are. You owe it to yourself to take care of you.
You’re the only ‘you’ in the world..
in case you didn’t know 😘
