Since 2018 I have been a part 800+ weddings. If there is one thing I’ve learned it’s longevity.

I’ve had a few discussions lately about early start times and concerns of the hair and makeup not lasting so many hours before the ceremony. So I want to talk about it, because this is why hiring a bridal specialist is really important.

A bridal specialist typically does weddings every single weekend. We do a high volume of these services , most of us being in this industry for over a decade (some multiple decades) Our experience gives us so much knowledge of how a wedding day timeline should flow, and what products are needed to keep everything locked into place all day. This comes down to product knowledge. Knowing your ingredients, what works together, what order, and why.

When you’re in my chair, I’m looking at the chemistry of your skin and the ingredients in my kit to ensure everything plays well together. The single MOST important thing about your hair and makeup is the prep and following our instructions after we leave to protect it.

This means staying inside in the ac until it’s time for photos/ceremony. Not touching or running your fingers through your hair repeatedly because it will make the style fall quicker. Drinking through a straw and not eating a meatball sub directly after you leave my chair to protect your lipstick. Etc

While we do need early start times because perfection cannot be rushed, please know you are hiring seasoned vets who know how to make your results last, we just need your help collaboratively to make it work! This is your reminder to trust your vendors 🫶🏼 We have done this a time or two 🪽☁️💍
