You can't focus on just the top two love languages that your spouse rates highest in. Try to get in the habit of doing them all. They may need to hear how beautiful you think they are vs you taking the trash out.
He/she may get compliments from many other ppl but to hear them from YOU may brigten their day. (Your words/voice matters)
Try to be sensitive and careful to HEAR what their CURRENT needs are in the moment. Not being ritualistic and systematic with expressing and showing your love towards them.
