Your lips are sisters, not twins. 👄

One thing I always educate my patients about before lip filler is that natural asymmetry is normal.

Look closely at her lips before we ever added filler. Like most of us, one side is naturally a little different from the other. Our lips are attached to a face that isn’t perfectly symmetrical either. Our muscles move differently, our bone structure varies from side to side, and even the way we smile can affect how our lips sit.

With filler, I can absolutely work toward better balance and harmony, but I don’t believe in aggressively chasing perfect symmetry.

Why?

Because sometimes trying to “fix” every tiny difference means adding filler where it isn’t actually needed. And at a certain point, you can sacrifice natural proportions just for the sake of making two sides look identical.

This patient started with her natural lips, then we slowly built them with 0.5 mL at a time, allowing each treatment to fully heal before deciding whether she wanted more.

After 1 mL total, she still looks like herself. Just a little fuller, softer and more balanced.

The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is enhancement.

Natural anatomy first. Filler second. 🤍
