It’s graduation season, and to the Class of 2026 — congratulations! 🎓
And honestly, congratulations to the parents, grandparents, teachers, guardians, coaches, and everyone else who helped drag these kids across the finish line with snacks, pep talks, caffeine, and sheer determination. Whether your graduate is finishing high school or college, this is a huge milestone, and they most likely didn’t get there alone.
Now comes the next chapter. Some graduates are heading straight to college, some are taking a gap year, some are jumping into jobs and figuring life out one paycheck at a time. Whatever path they choose, it’s theirs to discover.
For parents and guardians, though? Whew. That shift happens FAST.
One minute you know where they are every second of the day. The next, they’re living across the country and you’re staring at Life360 wondering why they’re at Taco Bell at 12:07 a.m. when they have an 8 a.m. exam tomorrow. 😂
But here’s the thing: this is their journey now.
And yours? Yours might be reconnecting with yourself, your spouse, your friends, or even younger siblings who are adjusting to a much quieter house too. Maybe it means rediscovering hobbies that got buried under years of sports schedules and school pickups. Maybe it means finally trying those recipes your child always swore were “disgusting.”
And after years of being everyone else’s chauffeur, scheduler, tutor, emotional support person, and unpaid snack provider… maybe it also means finally booking that massage you’ve been putting off. 😉
It’s a wild ride, and I say that as someone whose daughter just finished her first year of college. What I’ve learned is this: there’s nothing better as a parent than seeing your child genuinely happy and growing into who they’re meant to be.
So wherever this next stage of life takes you, make sure you leave a little room for yourself too. You’ve earned it. ❤️:

Accidentally twinning, but we make it look intentional.
Mother’s Day is May 10.
Skip the last-minute scramble this year and give her what she actually wants: relaxation, peace, and quiet… the kind of quiet where no one is asking where their shoes are while they’re already wearing them.
Give her a break from being the family CEO, chef, therapist, chauffeur, and full-time professional finder of lost things.
This year’s best gifts:
• Silence (yes, real silence—rare and valuable)
• A nap she doesn’t have to “earn”
• Coffee she gets to drink while it’s still hot
• A day where “Mommmmm?” is officially out of office
• And absolutely zero questions starting with “Have you seen…?”
And honestly, the perfect finishing touch?
A lovely, quiet massage.
Because nothing says “I love you, Mom” like 60–90 minutes where she can finally stop holding everything together—literally and figuratively—and just breathe, relax, and melt into the table while someone else takes care of her.
She’s earned it. Probably about 17 years ago, but who’s counting?
