Working on another batch of "owie balm" (as my kiddo calls it).

My healing balm and rosehip products use a slow-infused polyherbal oil blend that was formulated by my mom and is made in-house. This batch is dedicated to my first substantial wholesale order, scheduled for production in February next year, after which I will plant a new generation of seeds.

I stepped outside to this delight yesterday--the first camas bloom on plants I welcomed last year. While camas is not native to the Missoula valley, it used to thrive in our immediate surrounds and played an important role in indigenous diets.

Today I spent some time reading Braiding Sweetgrass out loud while my son played on the livingroom floor. At one point he stopped playing, opened the front door, and proclaimed his gratitude to Spring for bringing us grass and dandelions, rain and green leaves: Kimmerer's 'allegiance to gratitude' enacted with poignant ease by a 4-year-old. 💚
