Why Mindful Movement?
I chose the name Mindful Movement because movement is so important to me in my life. I’ve found that when I cannot move through my world in a free and easy way, I don’t feel like myself. My mood and overall outlook turns towards the negative. And when I can take the time to move mindfully and engage with my world with intention, it brings me back to a place of connectedness and peace. The name reflects both my desire to move through my world in that way and to help you move through your world in that way as well.
My goal in my practice is to engage with intention and attention, to move your body through healthy ranges of motion and manipulate soft tissue with gentle strength, to help your body find its natural equilibrium so that you may move freely within your world. I can also provide exercises and practices for you to engage with your body mindfully while you are not on my massage table. In my experience, that helps the work we do together on the table have a more lasting effect.
Your massage will be tailored to meet your wants and needs. Need a relaxing full body Swedish wind down? Great! Training for an event? Let me keep your muscles loose and efficient! Recovering from an injury? Make massage a part of your healing process; Reduce the buildup of scar tissue and help your body get back into “rest and restore” mode.

Hi! I am a recent addition to Missoula and I am looking forward to taking advantage of all Missoula has to offer, from outdoor recreation to music and art.
I recently completed a 702 hour program at the MountainHeart School of Massage and Bodywork in Crested Butte, Colorado. While at MountainHeart, I specialized in Transformational Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, using a combination of deep tissue focused work, assisted stretching, and client participation to help bring people back to a state of mobility and comfort. My patient, client based approach allows me to craft individual sessions and packages to help you meet your goals. I want to help you feel better in your body, whether your goals are running up mountains or picking up your grandkids.
My path to becoming a massage therapist began as I realized my active lifestyle could not be sustained by adrenaline alone. After experiencing a few injuries that put me on the couch, I began to really connect with the importance of self-care. A combination of healthy habits, body awareness, and preventative care allows me to participate in all the activities that I want to and I feel healthier than ever. I recently decided to make a shift from a career wilderness guiding, and massage allows me the opportunity to use my body to help others.
I hope I am lucky enough to get to help you on your path to wellness. I strive to meet every client that comes through my door with compassion, communication, and a smile.
