Officially moved out of the shelter!!!

For 3 years my family has been homeless. I have been so depressed, anxious, and feeling like I would never make it to have housing of my own. I watched people become housed and every time I was so happy for them thinking, hopefully that's me soon . I'm here to say don't lose hope! I've been at the bottom and have needed people to help me. I know exactly what it's like! if you are ever in this spot please don't lose hope! You can do it too! I believe in you! If anyone ever needs someone to talk to I will always be here to listen. Thank you to the people who have helped me along the way. I have too many people to tag but seriously....thank you!

A woman came up to me while I was working, and says, " oh wow my goodness those loccs!!" So i say thank you and she then says, "yeahhhh i bet you eat meat too huh?" So i said "yes i love meat, I eat it quite a bit actually!" Her response is "yeah not a true Rastafarian...." And i smiled and said "nope! Im me!"

This is literally the first in 10 years that ive been talked to like that. Its 2022 i think....🤣 i kid, I kid. Something tells me she needs a whole lotta love and to be around more open people. Just because I am a hippie, have 10 year old dreads, and use coconut oil daily for everything! doesn't mean theres another person with dreads who believes in exactly the same thing.
