Pig and a Pug Soaps & More

Last week I made my first salt bar! I love trying new recipes and learning new stuff when it comes to soap making!

This bar is mainy Coconut oil, it also has avocado oil, castor oil and Shea butter to moisturizing your skin. I used pink Himalayan sea salt which has great minerals for you and does a great job exfoliating dead skin, while leaving you super soft!

To make it even better i made this soap with Goats milk which provides intense hydration, gentle exfoliation and deep nourishment for you skin!

So many beneficial ingredients and to top it of it smells heavenly, the scent is beach linen and smells like a day at the beach making this the perfect spa day bar🛀🧼💆‍♀️

In all of my years of soap making i had not made Pine tar soap. I didn't even know it was a thing until one of my wonderful regulars at Ruby's asked me if I made it. I said I hadn't but I would study up on it and make my own version! So that's exactly what I did. Apparently pine tar soap is really amazing for sensitive skin issues including eczema, psoriasis, dandruff and even insect bites due to it's anti inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties while also deep cleansing and deodorizing skin and hair. I am excited to introduce the Pine Tar Bar from Pig and a Pug!

I have a customer that has some skin issues and wanted a Tallow bar without any added scents and colorants. I have been rendering my own Tallow for about a year now and add it to most of my soaps so I usually have Tallow on hand. I created this mainly Tallow bar (I did add a few other oils like coconut, palm, castor and lard). I think it's important to offer a bar of soap for everyone and a lot of people have sensitive skin issues.
I am working on a new Etsy store to have everything online and easy to purchase but until that is ready feel free to message me if you ever see anything you want. I do deliver in Missoula and I also ship everywhere within the U.S.

I know i haven't been making and sharing a lot over the past few years but I have decided that 2026 is the year i start focusing more on my love of soap making. I want to create something special that I can be proud to sell. I want to know what you all want in a bar of soap. What is important to you? I made Rose Soap today and it smells heavenly! My mom loves anything Rose so she definitely inspired this batch of homemade soap. This soap has local beeswax, hand rendered (by me) Tallow, coconut oil, Shea butter, castor oil & olive oil which are moisturizing and so so so good for your skin. I also added some French pink clay which is great for cleansing and detoxifying sensitive, mature and acne prone skin. Let me know if you want a bar once they are cut and packed up. I do ship, all you have to do is ask🥰🌹🧼

New Soap Alert!!!! This is a Tea tree, Peppermint and Rosemary bar with honey and finished with a CBD infused Shea butter!! I have a customer that has psoriasis and I came up with this bar just for her. I have a few left over if anyone needs a bar😉
