A few things to remember:
Don’t go to bed with wet hair (not even damp).
Use heat protecting oil/spray EVERY time you add heat to your hair.
Don’t wash your hair more than 2x/week.
Use cool water when you do wash.
Use some sort of mask on your hair a few times a month (my favorite is the moisture fusion mask).
Sleep on a silk/satin pillowcase (extra points if you sleep in a silk bonnet).
Wear a hat in the summertime to protect your color from fading.
