Shelby is another one of those people that I genuinely believe was always meant to be here. 🥹🩷

Since the day she started at The Babe Cave, I have gotten to watch this girl BLOOM. I’ve watched her clientele soar, her confidence grow, her personality come all the way out of its shell, and watched her realize just how damn good she really is at what she does.

And maybe that’s one of my favorite things about having this place… getting to watch people become the version of themselves they were always capable of being when they finally have a space that feels safe enough to do it. 🥹

Shelby is sweet. She’s dependable. She’s a badass single mom. She’s a night owl, a bartender by night and a hairstylist by day, and somehow still shows up with the warmest, coziest energy imaginable.

She’s the kind of stylist where you sit in her chair and immediately feel like you’re hanging out with your cozy mom best friend. A relaxing conversation, a good shampoo (seriously… SHE GIVES THE BEST SHAMPOOS 😭), and if you’re lucky, maybe some wild vivid color because this girl LOVES making some colorful magic happen. 🌈

She’s also approximately 14% squirrel. 😂
She will lose something she was literally just holding. She will drop something. She will forget where she put something. And as someone who is equally squirrely, I simply cannot judge. 😂

But underneath all the silliness is one of the kindest, most genuine humans. She makes people comfortable. She makes people feel welcome. And she has grown into such a confident, talented PROFESSIONAL that I could not be prouder to have her here.

If Shelby were a feeling, she’d be a warm patchouli + vanilla fuzzy blanket with 2000’s emo playing somewhere in the background. 🥹😂🩷

Shelby, I hope you know how loved you are here. Watching you bloom has been such a privilege, and I am SO proud of the woman, mom, stylist, and absolute sweetheart you are.

She’s one of those people who can walk into a room and somehow know everybody, have a story for every occasion, and leave you wondering how the hell she possibly knows THAT many people 😂 She’s a social butterfly, a genuinely good human, and just one of those people who makes a place feel a little more like home.
