I just realized I haven’t shared that we are in the new clinic space! My goal is for people to feel safe and relaxed as they come into the space. So my goal was less clinical looking and more cozy feeling/hanging out at your besties house. I believe that healing can begin when people feel safe and comfortable 💕
The design was inspired by utilizing items I got during my travels, specifically my trip to Istanbul, TĂĽrkiye. The orange curtains remind me of the sunsets (golden hour) in Istanbul (last picture is from my trip in 2010) and the amber color of salt lamps. The dark green of the walls remind me of the forests/woods around us here in Mobile. My goal is for soothing and I hope that comes through for all. Come check out the new space to see for yourself.
Weekend appointment availability. The Community Clinic will be back in October. I hope to see you soon!
For the next few weeks, Sunday appointments will not be available. This includes the community clinic. Regular appointment availability will return in October. Thank you.

You’ve probably heard of elderberry, but did you know it grows naturally across Alabama?
American elderberry is native to eastern North America and can often be found along Alabama streambanks and field edges. Its clusters of small white flowers appear in spring, followed by deep purple-black berries that ripen from summer into early fall.
Elderberries have been part of the regional diet for centuries and are used today in everything from syrups and jams to juices and beverages.
Knowing what you’re looking at matters. Several plants found in Alabama can resemble elderberry, and some look-alikes are highly toxic.

✨ Meet the Acupuncturist ✨
Hi! I am Dr. Jessica Ivey, Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and the owner of The Ivey Garden of Wellness!
I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and cared for. Your comfort is my priority at The Ivey Garden of Wellness. I want you to walk through the doors and feel cozy where you can slow down, breathe, and work with your body, not against it.
I truly enjoy working with people and their mental health, processing grief or traumas, women’s health, pain, and emotional wellbeing. I treat the whole person, body, mind, and Spirit—not just the diagnoses one has.
When I’m not in the clinic you will find me learning something new. I am someone who loves history, cultures, plants, and all sorts of things! The experiences I’ve had on my travels are reflected in the new clinic space I’ve created. A lot of my design inspiration came from my trip to Istanbul. Fun fact, I went there by myself for my last Spring Break in my undergrad. I know Istanbul typically isn’t the standard American spring break college experience, but I wanted to go to one of the oldest cities I had read a lot about. So I did and I still cant wait to go back.
Whether you’re new to acupuncture or have been curious for years, I would love to help you on your wellness journey!
What questions have you always wanted to ask an Acupuncturist? Ask in the comments below! I might make a FAQ video soon to provide the answers.

Happy August & Happy Movement Monday Everyone!
The past few weeks in clinic I have been noticing people mentioning issues sleeping. While there are a few different patterns in East Asian Medicine that relate to sleep issues, sometimes the easiest thing is to just move the worries of the day away. I invite you to try this Qigong for Sleep video if you are having issues sleeping or would like a more restful sleep. Try this routine a few days this week for the best results.
