These are my thoughts on robotic massages...
My understanding about these machines is that the client is actually the one controlling it with an iPad or something like that that’s under their face on an armrest. Other than the obvious safety issues if the machine malfunctions, there is no substitute for human touch. Think about it, your shoulders, relax, and your brain quiets when someone administers a caring touch. Therapeutic touch is healing to the emotions, the nervous system, the muscular system, and to your mental state overall. No machine can substitute for that. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but it just shouldn’t be used in place of regular therapeutic massage. Can you use it when you’re in a pinch? Sure, but it should never take the place of regular massage.
