This is the exact OPPOSITE of a “don’t over-foil post”. This is for that client who WANTS her highlights PACKED AF. It’s for the client who wears her hair parted every which way & doesn’t want to see pockets of darkness. She’s here to be all blonde, all day. I love this sectioning bc it’s the most efficient way I’ve found to pack in every last square inch on the head in ALL DIAGONAL SLICES. Slices give me more area coverage than weaves, and the reason why they don’t look like stripes, is because they’re 1️⃣ THIN & 2️⃣ DIAGONAL. Also, important to note - years ago, this type of service request from a client would STRESS ME OUT. But that’s because at the time, I didn’t have SYSTEMS for services like this. I would have them booked as a traditional“highlight & cut” and then I’d be fighting for my life trying to cram all of this work into a tiny 2-hour time slot. And then I’d charge them for a “highlight & cut” and think to myself - MY GOD this just isn’t worth it 😖 can anyone else relate? Here’s a solution: I would NOT consider this a “traditional highlight”. This takes significantly more time & more product, so I schedule more time & I charge accordingly. I explain to my client why there’s a price difference, show them some visuals, and then I LET THEM CHOOSE whether they’d like to book a traditional 2-hour highlight service at $x or a 3-hour custom blonding service at $x. Operating in this manner has made my days btc so much less stressful, my work comes out better & my clients are happier. 🤍🙌 #emchenhair #saloneducation
