Dreaming ➡️ Reality
There’s nothing better than seeing a pair go from measurements in our trailer to the show pen.
We loved bringing this custom pair to life, but we love hearing this even more:
“I couldn’t be happier with how mine turned out.”
Thank you for trusting Blue Ridge Custom Chaps to make your dream chaps a reality Lazy Blue Sky - AQHA! We hope you enjoy every ride in them. 🤎💙

Normally Ocala gets the next day after a show "off". However, after yesterday seeming like something is bugging him we decided to try a new approach or different gear to eliminate some what-ifs. So we rode in a bosal. This leaves the bit out of his mouth and gives us a better idea that it most likely is his teeth causing a little crankiness. We did a short ride and went thru all maneuvers to see how he reacted. NOW MY BRAIN feels much better!
We will see the vet soon!
Again, Thanks to Mary McCashin for a wonderful show and to my grandma for coming! We did have a good day, otherwise!

Not every horse show is a Great show personally. Period.
While Mary McCashin always outdoes herself with a wonderfully run show, today's experience has nothing to do with that and more about figuring out the next step. Every human has good days and bad days. Horses are allowed to as well. While some horse trainers may not believe this, it has been said that the horse should perform the same every time with no missteps.
We have had a lot of great shows this year. We have also had our struggles. We try to keep it positive and just keep looking forward and onward to the next step. However, today really said we need to dig a little deeper and figure some other things out.
Ocala was already scheduled for a vet visit 9/26 to get ready for Congress and get his health certificate. We are bumping that up to early in the week so we can make decisions on what is bugging him and hopefully have time to school at home. He does need his teeth floated. It was supposed to be done in the spring but was put off. We are hoping this is the culprit. Pray it is.
Can we always use more outside help? YES! -BUT we have come this far together and we will continue to learn together.
No matter the outcome of today, Ocala is still my best friend and I will do whatever it takes to keep this journey continuing. Never give up. Never lose hope. 💕
