Know the difference

🦶🚨 Calling all athletes! 🚨🦶 Plantar fasciosis is a prevalent foot issue among those who push themselves to the limit. Over time, the plantar fascia can suffer from degeneration due to micro-tears and diminished blood flow. Let's break down the reasons behind this:

1️⃣ Intense Training: Athletes train hard and compete harder, often subjecting their feet to excessive pressure and strain.

2️⃣ Improper Footwear: The importance of proper shoes cannot be overstated. Consider exploring alternative footwear options to alleviate discomfort and provide better support.

3️⃣ Biomechanical Factors: Your running, jumping, and landing techniques play a crucial role in the development of plantar fasciosis.

Prioritize your foot health by investing in suitable footwear and being mindful of your biomechanics. Your feet will thank you for it! 👟💪

These make sense to me. Think of them as like braces for your teeth, just for your toes. And think about how long you have to wear braces to make changes to the teeth and bones. Same for your toes. Just my thoughts.

Why fight the pain when you can give those feet the TLC they deserve? Comfort can meet style and your toes are happy doing it! Time to break free from the toe curling!

Reasons You Feel Burning in Your Feet 12/03/2023

If you are diabetic, newly or have had for some time, keep an eye on your feet and hands. These are areas, especially feet, that are hard to self massage. A foot massage (and hand) from a "qualified" reflexologist might be one of the best things you can do to help get healthy blood-flow to the nerves. Neuropathy (numbness pain) needs blood feeding the nerves to stay healthy. As a Neuro Reflex Therapist, my suggestion is to incorporate a reflexology "treatment" into your self care on a routine basis. We can not make it go away, but we can improve the circulation, especially in the feet.

Reasons You Feel Burning in Your Feet The feeling of burning in your feet isn't just an annoyance. It might also be a sign of a more serious condition. Find out more about what can make your feet burn.

A little about reflexology.

The nerve endings in the feet correspond to certain parts of the body and when there is an imbalance, nerve fibres can build up in the feet at a high rate.

A reflexologist feels the congestion of those fibres under her/his fingers and the location on the feet tells which part of the body is affected. Massaging these specific congested areas, help improve the function of the related organs

Reflexology has been shown to help relieve stress, improve circulation, and reduce tension, not only in the muscles but in all tissues that form every part of our body, including organs.

With regular sessions, you can experience a better sense of overall wellbeing.

If you have never booked an appointment with a Reflexologist, you should consider doing so today! You may also be surprised at what your feet can tell her/him about you.
