Craniosacral Therapy: An Ideal Modality For Treating Inflammation 10/09/2018

Craniosacral therapy is what drew me into learning about how to work with the body. My first CST therapist placed her hands on me eight years ago and I felt so comfortable and supported being in my own space, I experienced a profound awakening. My respect for the body and its Inner Wisdom continues to grow as I delve deeper into this technique that lights the way for health. Its gentle, but incredibly effective for treating precise points of restriction within the body. I allow myself to be directed by the tissue of my client rather than forcing what I believe should be done.

Pairing craniosacral with Thai massage (the magic of being on the floor) and we have a marriage of two humble approaches to moving energy and strengthening the body.

Interesting read, please send questions or comment what you think about the reading. I love to geek out on this stuff.

Hi! Thank you for the new likes y'all. Welcome ❤️

Working on the floor/mat gives me an elevated position at times so I can apply the right amount of relaxed pressure. If your work has you seated or driving often, this is the move for you! The low back and pelvic floor melt after the gluts release. I prepare this move by making sure the muscles and the tendons running down the legs have been worked through. The energy opens, drawing in through the right, exiting the left. Taking new clients always.

What do I love so much about this move? The heel becomes a fulcrum for the client's relief of tight hips/low back pain.
I connect with the reflexes I am aware of as the heel is reflexive of the hip anyways. So its like double the power, or a secret key unlocking the energy of the space (as well as the top of the IT band and beginning of the quads). I make sure my heel is snug in the hip socket and then I lock the leg with my leg and just lean forward. wa-lah! it unwinds the low back as there are many muscles that attach into the pelvis/hip area. the body's natural weight causes the hip to melt around my heel as the client eases into the position. Big difference after a few cycles of this stretch!
