And I’m back from maternity leave! So bittersweet🥹

On maternity leave but not forgetting about all of you beautiful clients 🥰 I will be returning to work in the middle of February. I already have some of my curly clients scheduled for my return, because you are the ones who are neglected while I’m out (sorry guys 🙁) but I will be reaching out to schedule the rest of you sometime in January. I will also be communicating via email.

Until then, we are anticipating the arrival of our sweet baby girl!🩷 Thank you all for your love and support during this time.

With my due date quickly approaching 🤰🏼my ‼️Maternity Leave‼️ will start in 2 weeks! ⁣

I will be out of the salon for approximately 12 weeks 🗓 and I have sent out an email regarding all information for when I’m out! ⁣

To my curlies: 👩🏻‍🦱 Please note that I unfortunately do not have another ➰curl specialist➰ to refer you to for haircuts while I am out. 😣 I am sorry! But hopefully I will be seeing most of you before I go on leave.⁣

Are you cleansing your curls correctly⁉️⁣

Use cool water🚿 hot water will dry out your hair more and create extra frizz.🙅🏼‍♀️⁣

Shampoo is applied at the scalp only 💆🏼‍♀️⁣
No need🚫 to apply shampoo to our already dry ends, the cleansing agents from the shampoo will do enough when you’re rinsing.⁣
⁣
Apply conditioner mids to ends, section by section and detangle with your fingers🖐🏻 This will help to set your curl pattern and eliminate frizz. Don’t apply conditioner directly to the scalp— it will make you oily and weigh your hair down. ⁣

Rinse out MOST of conditioner, leaving a little bit at the ends for extra hydration (not ideal for fine hair). 🧖🏼‍♀️⁣

Apply your styling product on saturated hair, scrunch out the extra moisture using microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt, and go!👏🏻

I am working limited hours and availability at this time. 🗓 My maternity leave 🤰🏼 will start in late November and I will update you all on my new schedule for next year as it gets closer. ⁣

I have made a couple changes as I return. I will no longer offer the following services;⁣
⁣
•Regular haircut only services (sorry straighties, love you but my heart is with the curlies➰)⁣. If you are already a color client and we do a haircut with your color service, this does not affect you.
•Kids cuts— because my hours in the salon are so limited I need to utilize my time with full service appointments. ⁣

Curly hair is really what I love to do and is also where a lot of my demand is so I have shifted most of my focus to accommodating the curly girls.👩🏼‍🦱👩🏻‍🦱⁣

As many of you know I lost my mom last month. Many of you also know it had been a long few months of doctors appointments and testing and I had already been taking a lot of time off to go with her to the appointments. Unfortunately her time here on earth was cut short and I will forever be grateful for the woman that she was, the woman she raised me to be, and all of the memories we shared.

Many of you also know that my husband and I are expecting our first baby boy in December; My Saving Grace.

I have been taking time off work as I navigate through this time but I am planning to return to work at the end of July. Please check your emails for further details.
