I'm late posting this. I did the most fun craft ( HAT BURNING ) with all kinds of lady entrepreneurs. I was invited by Whimsy Beadworks ( you should check out her gorgeous jewelry) to join the event hosted by Wildflower farms in Frankfort, an absolutely gorgeous u-pick flower farm.

There is no salon mascot more cute than this sweet faced baby. To know him is to adore him.

May hairdressers take side of caution, which is fine… all of us want to keep the integrity of the hair. All of us want longevity out of the hair. Just sometimes I go at things and chase. I never promise, I never commit, I never cut corners. If it lifts bright orange then we deal with it… your client needs to know this too. If they don’t you’re opening yourself issues. Educate your client be prepared to adapt as you go, use every protection possible. I do achieve some big changes. But I have to listen to the hair, what it tells me, is it coping? Can I bend the rules a little? There is lots to consider and it’s not for the faint hearted. The point of this reel, is to show what can happen if I try and rush, don’t manage my environment, loose control of the consultation and not care about the integrity of the hair. Bleach is bleach and things can go wrong super quick. It can really do some bad to people and it can take years for it to repair and grow back. It's moments like this that really remind me of the gratitude I have for my career. Thank you Alice Dan for thinking of me, and brightening my day.
Unfortunately, I don't always post all the thoughtful gestures; Coffee, food, gifts, tickets to events, invitations to gatherings, money and most importantly the shared wisdom I have received over the years. The amount of kindness, support, trust, friendship, tears and so much laughter, is truly the value that isn't seen in numbers. Those are all priceless.
