And that’s a 🎁 WRAP🎁 for 2025! I will return January 16th! Hours staying at Fridays 3-8. Saturdays and Sundays 9-1.
I’m very excited for this time off. 2025 has been a year of complete chaos (some good), big decisions, and a constant cloud of stress. From a litter of puppies to choosing to homeschool. All while caring for my dad (and his animals) until his passing on 12/4, while my husband was having to travel for school this semester, was all very impossible- and we some how got through. Also while trying to balance Mom, Wife, Teacher, Business owner, boarder 🐶, as well as the every day life things that come up. To say I’m exhausted and overwhelmed is an understatement. I’d like to thank all of my clients who’ve continued to understand when I have to reschedule or take time off. The response is always “No big deal. Family first.” And it’s so appreciated. A lot of you have been a HUGE support system in some of our very big decisions. And reached out when you knew things were hard. You’ve all grown to feel like my friends and family. My hope for 2026 is simple- just a little more peace. My heart and soul need some rest. And my goal for 2026- figure out what the word routine means, and then try to start one. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Year. And thank you again for the constant support!

Wednesday we were told once off life saving meds, it would only be a few hours until you passed. But only you could stubbornly drag that out to 32.5 hours later! Just after 9pm last night you rode away for the last time. The last few years have been so hard. So frustrating, and impossible. I am so incredibly grateful for all the visitors and stories yesterday. I desperately needed that to remember all the good.
Anyone who didn’t know him, if they ever heard those stories they would be absolutely appalled, mortified, and probabaly wouldn’t even believe they were true. But if you were lucky enough to know him-hell, that could’ve just been a normal Tuesday. Yesterday several people said “He lived his life the way he wanted to.” And that is so true. He was the epitome of a true cowboy. That is something that used to embarrass me, but now I’m actually really glad I got to experience some of those stories and shenanigans and his lifestyle. Because I didn’t realize until recently how much he did teach me, and I want my kids to experience some of the things I did. I was told once when I was born that my grandma, his mom, said “oh thank God it’s not a boy. I don’t think the universe can handle another David.” True? I don’t know. But I do believe that she may have felt that way even if she didn’t say it out loud. Of all his adventures I know I was his favorite. The big tough mountain man who rode broncs and roped cattle. Cussed worse than a sailor. Had a horse he was breaking flip over backwards and roll over him, and he came up still in the saddle and kept right on riding with a broken arm. He was banned for life from Knoxville Tap. This same man could be brought to his knees in tears when I stuck out my lip and said “Daddy.” I am going to miss him so much. So much more than I realized. I am so grateful for the childhood I had- because it was a BLAST!
