Last (but certainly not least) on our Welcome Back Week list is our who spent her break tending our garden and expanding her practice through new techniques and mediums. She has grown her aquatic bodywork practice and is bringing new tools into her practice in the studio.

She also got some time with family, enjoyed her little girl's first camping experience, and offered sound meditation in a garden.

Community Class | 9 AM | Every Saturday

We've got 20 new yoga teachers finishing training and while we can't add every one of them to the class schedule, we most certainly CAN give them a place to practice what they've spent the past 10 months working toward. And while every class at Sanctuary is truly a community class because of our payment model, this class creates community in a new way. It allows the people who practice with us to help us create a safe container for our new teachers to learn how to be practiced teachers!

So come join us Saturday mornings, starting TOMORROW!

Welcome Back Week wouldn't be complete without our and if you know our Sarah, then you know how much she both LOVES our sacred Sanctuary and TREASURES the time to G**O and find something beautiful on her road trip adventures when the studio isn't in session. (PS - She found the church and the pastry both beautiful, in equal measure.)

This break, she spent long, slow days at a friend's lake house, walked and walked and walked, let poetry find her again (it's hard for the words to catch up when she's always running from one thing to the next), and ended her trip with her beloved in Columbus where they sat in parks and had incredible dinners.

And starting this week, she's back in more ways than one because she IS BACK ON THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE WITH A SATURDAY SOMATIC SESH!

"You can't pave a path in one pass, so the truth is, I need to be in weekly practice as much as I need to teach somatic work regularly. These many months off from regular teaching were NEEDED, but it's time for me to find my people and work to move through our feelings together."

Both our Eleanor and our Lola spent lots of time with family over the break and both are ready to get back to their studio sessions:

Eleanor said that while she's been doing her best to practice what she preaches - to move, play, connect, and regulate - she genuinely misses her friends and fellow "Somatic Heroes" who do the work every week bringing more regulation to their own bodies.

Next up is our early morning anchor, !

She's been opening the doors on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 AM for some time, but this fall and winter, she's bringing back the Sunday 7 AM class for those who like meeting the Sunday scaries with a moment of mind/brain/body connection.

Over the break, she enjoyed early morning walks, but is ready to welcome her students back with some spiced-up sequences. She's hoping to find some new faces in studio on Sunday mornings, so JOIN HER!

It's WELCOME BACK WEEK and we've got a NEW TEACHER!

While our .yoga.breathwork isn't new to the studio, she is picking up the 7PM Monday Just Yoga slot for the fall and winter and we are just SO happy to have her!

Over break, Lena spent some time taking in baseball games all over the country, presented her research at a conference in Chicago, visited family, and adopted a new rescue dog ... she's BEEN BUSY.

When we asked what she's most looking forward to about being back, she said "Sanctuary is my home away from home and I'm excited to return 'home'."

It's WELCOME BACK WEEK at Sanctuary and we thought we'd reintroduce to the incredible, gifted, good-hearted teachers who make this place so special.

First up is our Abigail Webster Yoga & Bodywork.

While the break isn't her favorite (she just loves her people a lot and hates to be away from them), she did spend a little more time outdoors the past two weeks and said she loved the sunshine and the hiking. BUTTTT.. she is READY to be back with her morning classes, her chosen family. ❤

She loves the rhythm of her life when her days start in the studio and she's most looking forward to returning to that sacred space of community & comfort.
