hi! heres a pretty color i did but also my work phone has been acting wild for 5 or so days apparently but its sorted out now - i didnt realize how on & off it was being til today so im sorry if anyone had tried to call & wasnt able to get through 😭 my number is still 3099123331 & as always, no texting. yayyyyy

since ive had a wild uptick in no calls/no shows lately, i wanted to make sure i go over my cancellation & no show policy very clearly again to make sure my clients & i are on the same page

- cancellations/reschedules within 48 hours of the appointment: 50% of the service missed will be due before i can schedule you in my books again**

- no call/no shows: the cost of the entire service missed will be due before i can schedule you into my books again**

**this fee needs to be paid within 3 business days (unless weve talked) otherwise ill consider it an abandoned client slot & will cancel any existing appointments for that client, removing them from my clientele

- if you are more than 15 minutes late & i allow the appointment the day of without rescheduling, theres a $30 fee at the end of the service

a cancellation policy similar to mine isn't anything new in the salon world; most salons have similar if not identical policies. these fees are in place to protect my business. my time is just as valuable as yours & this is my source of income so i ask that you respect the time you requested for me to hold for you.

and please, PLEASE start writing down your appointments because i seriously dont enjoy charging these fees. id rather be working & doing my job than having these weird gaps in my day that someone else could have filled

GUYS, SCENE QUEEN RACCOON TAILLLLLL

lets delve into reasons why i never posted the photos i took of your hair even though i loved it & kept saying how much i loved it:

1 - they got buried in my phone before i could finally narrow down my selection & because i have ADHD - out of sight, out of mind so i forget to go back & finish going through them 😬
2 - my camera was being a brat - it hates reds & pinks & sometimes for no reason, theyre not in focus correctly
3 - i got them edited, started to post them, saw goose wanted to play & focused on that then forgot to come back to them 😂 then, as referenced in #1, they got buried in my phone because i did other stuff on my phone
4 - i didnt like the lighting or the angles on the photos after i got them downloaded & im not a photoshop queen so i just sit there lamenting i didnt take more
5 - there was a weird, wonky curl or kink in the hair & it annoyed me so much i couldnt use them
6 - i took so many good ones i cant narrow it down 😭

AAAAAND the biggest reason 95% of the photos i take of your guys' hair dont get posted ISSSSSSSS:

7 - as previously noted but 100% why im repeating this is that i have a lot of ADHD in my brain & once the photos get buried in my phone, i forget they exist until i scroll back months later & go "aw man why didnt i post this??" & then i send them to you 6 months after i took them when youre a completely different haircolor & say "aw man why didnt i post these?" & we reminisce together🥰

SO, bottom line: please dont ever take it personally if i dont post your finished photos! it doesnt mean your hair didnt turn out or i dont like you or whatever else! im just a space case with limited time & brain function 😂

anywho, heres a fun digest of some stuff i did this past week!

dark hearts💕😈 gabie's birthday is today, the valen of all tines of days, so we had to go with romantic colors for her latest appointment! always such pretty, vibrant tones for her but doing a big ol refresh really made the colors pop!

🚨PSAAAAAAA:🚨 hey gang! when the weather is dangerous to drive in/go out in as well as when schools cancel, i dont charge rescheduling fees!

i just dont want people to get hurt coming to or leaving the salon & i know that when school gets cancelled, it can be hard to find childcare. i also kinda use it as a gauge for the weather - schools dont usually cancel unless its not great to be running around out in. i have a lot of clients who drive in from half hour or futher away too so that can get really sketchy on the roads!

just wanted to throw that out there so everyone knew this 🫶

hi! just a lil reminder to clean out the back of your blowdryer if you arent doing it regularly 🥰 AND, while youre at it, wash your scrunchies, soak your combs & brushes & clean the residue off of your styling tools to keep them working well! our styling tools & hairties pick up grease & oil & other buildup so its good to do this every once in a while

cleaning combs + brushes:
- remove hair then soak in a solution of either vinegar + water or shampoo + water
- if theres buildup, use an old toothbrush to scrub between bristles. then rinse off & wipe down with rubbing alcohol

cleaning heat tools:
- turn on heat tool, let warm up 20-30 seconds then turn off & unplug
- using a soft cloth, wipe any loosened residue off
- if theres still buildup, dampen with vinegar & wipe down
- if theres still buildup after that, stop spraying hairspray directly on your curling iron 😂 & make a paste of baking soda & water & scrub down with a toothbrush

also, per the photo, dont judge me 😂 the blowdryer im holding was a very old one i found! idk how much air flow got through that thing!

yayyyyyy!! we changed up missy’s signature purple with rainbow on top to give her purple with rainbows throughout 🥳 we just loved our OG color combo so we did a new rendition of it. this also gives her flexibility to change it up next time if she wants to! i love the little rainbow ribbons 😍 we always have a blast when she comes in & im going to add a photo of her doggie dexter in the comments because hes awesome & i want to 🥰

the last photo is her hair after we used a CPR treatment from malibu to remove the first layers of her old color. this is my go to when people want a big change in their color because its causes NO damage at all but removes a loooot of the color to get us started into the lightening process. it also removes mineral/metallic buildup & any product residue clinging to the hair to give a beautiful safe clean strand of hair to start us off for the healthiest end result 🥰 thank you for always trusting me missyyyyy!

robbie appreciation post 😍 i had both of these colors in my postable hair folder (along with over 200 other hair photos i havent posted 😬) & decided to post a two-fer of her hair 🖖 i love all the fun combos we come up with!

ALSO in addition to being super fun, shes super sweet - she went out of her way to bring my dog, goose, a birthday present & was also porkchops adopted auntie/favorite client because she brought him his *absolute favorite* treats every time she came in 😂

- BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS/VIDEO FOR YA! i dont always take before & afters so dont feel bad asking me to take any on my good camera or your phone! sometimes, time permitting, i can make a short video of the process we do for your hair if you want one of those too. i just dont post much video myself but if you want one of a big transformation just ask!

- SAMPLES! depending on the product type & texture, i can usually make a small sample of most products for you to take home with my trusty lil thermal seal pouches

- BLOWDRY/CURLING IRON/FLAT IRONING TIPS! i have a pretty good in depth step by step breakdown i can go over while im doing any of these during your appointment! i just never know whos interested & i dont wanna bother people with a speech if they arent 😂

- GIFT CERTIFICATES! i got em if you need em! also, because this might be confusing, i should add that the gift certificate itself is free but the amount you put on it isnt 😂

- HIGH FIVES! i got an endless supply of high fives! if you need em, i got em!!

oh were soooo back 🙌 when abbi showed me her inspo photo (in the comments), i had an out of body experience for a second 😂 chunky color is back but the kids these days call it calico hair (cringe way to explain it but i can say it like that because i lived through it the first time 💁‍♀️)

i had to really channel 2005 brand new baby hairdresser corie to pull it off but we were so giddy with the end result! so freakin excited to do more stuff like this ♥️
