You know, Life can be really “funny” sometimes. It’s crazy to watch your own life unfold right before your eyes.

Let me give you an example.

Two besties become business partners, design what they think is their “dream” salon. Work on it for months and months, terminate their current lease, sign a 10 🫣 year lease- only to get notice 8 weeks before your “suppose” to open that you’re no longer going to be involved, this isn’t your salon anymore, and actually we are taking over the salon ourselves. Bye ✌️

😳 Whoa. Talk about cue the water works.

We decided this is our dream, shake it off Taylor swift style. We will find bigger and better and not let anybody rip that away from us.

So guess what, WE DID!

The night I had to call my parents to let them know the “deal fell through” my dad asked me. “Okay fine, where do you envision yourself at”. I told him “A old brick building”.

We had always talked about brick and how we both were so attracted to it. So much, that it had us up at night googling how to buy old brick to somehow en corporate it in the salon we were designing. But unfortunately we couldn’t make it work.

Not more than a few weeks later, we found that the Garver Feed Mill had just posted a space in their building available. The pictures got our hearts beating, there was brick EVERYWHERE, and we were touring it the next day.

It was a yes from the second we saw it. This was exactly what we had been dreaming about!

Manifestation at its finest to say the least.

Months of back and forth with the wonderful landlords, contractors, and everyone involved; we have finally signed on with Garver Feed Mill, and could not be more proud and excited to call this space ours.

This space is going to evolve in the most gorgeous salon you will ever see. (Might be a little biased 😉)

Set to open up December 2023! Stay tuned!

Hi all! I have openings on January 4th!!!

To my beloved clients:

We know life is ever changing and it is time for me to adjust to the recent changes in mine. As my husband embarks on a new career, my need to be home more often for my children presents itself. I am sad to step partially away from my salon family, but excited I have the opportunity to enjoy my kids while they’re little. Effective immediately my hours are as follows. Tuesday 10-5 and Thursday 9-5 If these don’t work for your life, as sad as I am to see anyone go, I understand and can recommend a stylist who can meet your scheduling needs. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding at this exciting time in my families life.

Update on Covid 19 mask mandate:

On June 2, 2021 the mask mandate is being lifted for Dane County. After giving much consideration to several factors, I have decided I will no longer require the use of masks in my suite. If it is your preference that I wear one, I will gladly do so to always ensure your comfort during your appointment. If you want to wear one yourself, please do, however, disposable masks will no longer be provided. In the shared areas of sassy chic salons it is encouraged to mask up to respect all the stylists and their guests. Our waiting areas will remain closed to continue the practice of social distancing. Please proceed with texting me at 608-712-5362 upon your arrival, and wait in your car until I’m able to give you the all clear to come inside. I will also use that time to ask your preference regarding masks. I ask that you make the decision you’re most comfortable with, while considering the safety of everyone who visits us at Sassy chic. I appreciate all of your efforts to keep my salon a safe place, and your patience as I work diligently to do the same.
