I've been a hair stylist since 2004. Come visit me at Infinity Salon & Spa! I made this profile to connect with all my friends from the salon. But it is not easy.
I usually post my hours and any specials we have going on. If you don't see a recent posting of my schedule I recommend you call the salon (for an immediate answer) or message me on FB and Ill answer as soon as I get a chance. As always the guest that is in my chair is my main focus so contacting me through Facebook is not the quickest way to get a hold of me. I have met so many awesome people in
my line of work and you are all like family to me. If you like what I do the sincerest form of flattery is a referral in this business so please send in your friends and family. I apologize in advance for the rant! I am a Hairstylist and I love my career. I CHOSE to do this with my life. I did not choose to do hair because I wasn't intelligent enough to do anything else, or because I was lazy. In this field, you will be surprised to know that you in fact need to be very intelligent. You must be able to converse intelligently on a range of topics. In a typical day, I may have conversations with clients on anything from dog grooming, remodeling a bathroom, best places to play golf or even medical conditions. I do not claim to know everything, but what I do know how to do is LISTEN. I've learned so much from my clients over the years and it takes a special person to remember the topics that we've discussed, sometimes years later. People are usually surprised to know that a cosmetologist is required to learn everything from chemistry to anatomy and physiology. We have to learn diseases and disorders of the hair, skin, nails and scalp. While we cannot diagnose, we must be able to recognize. A cosmetologist spends hundreds of hours learning the theory and science of doing hair. Not just how to roll a perm. Being a Hairstylist is a fun and rewarding career. I stand on my feet all day, every day for up to 14 hours straight. With my arms held at chest level for most of that. My feet, legs, back, neck and shoulders constantly hurt. If there is no one in my chair, I'm folding towels, washing and sanitizing my tools or returning calls. I rarely have down time. Trust me, this is not the career for a lazy person. I may seem to be complaining but, if I had the choice, would I still do hair? ABSOLUTELY. I love having the opportunity to change someone's perception of themselves. It's a magical moment I hand my client a mirror and they say "wow! I look so pretty!" I'm absolutely addicted. The art and creativity of hair styling fulfills me. The science of hair styling fascinates me, and bringing joy to others completes me. Doing hair isn't something that I do. It is who I am. From the top of my head to to soles of my feet. I am a hairstylist!!!!!
