Today’s “restock” was all about solid shampoo bars!! The green one is an aromatherapy/fresh water/bamboo scent. The white one is unscented for sensitive scalps. The blue one is a masculine scent reminiscent of ocean waters and clean crisp air. Conditioner bars will be forthcoming this week. Considering reducing your plastic consumption? Give some thought to these bars. They are plastic free and last 60-80 washes. And the lather!!! I formulate my bars for lots of lather without stripping. My bars are all sulfate free as well. I can’t use sulfates so I won’t make products with them in them. #sulfatefree #sulfatefreeshampoo #plasticpollution #plasticfreeliving

I always try to take a picture of my soap batter when it’s freshly poured and “wet”…… it’s so shiny and pretty 🤩 There are so many fun things about making soap.

The knowledge that I’m making something healthy and not “detergent” for my family and friends.

The cool parts of the chemistry behind the process of taking oils and fats and converting them to soap. Secret time: I hated chemistry in high school. I love it now!!

But sometimes it’s the simple beauty of it. I have an artists soul but cannot draw, play an instrument or paint, aside from those sip and paint events where they walk you through it…….. so, my artistic talent is showcased in my soap making. And I love that.

Another beautiful spring weekend and another amazing event!! This weekend I’ll be at Socrates Academy in Matthews from 10-2. And pictured are some of my amazing soaps I’ll have on hand. Hope to see you there 💕

I’m toying around with smaller, thinner soaps in cute shapes. Thinking, travel soaps that are just enough for that long weekend or even week long trip. Or kids who don’t want to take a bath……. No judgement mommas. Been there. Here’s a fun shaped soap to make bath time fun……… these are some that I’ve cut out and plan to bring to market this weekend at Socrates Academy in Matthews. But honestly, what are your thoughts? Any other ideas on shapes?

I put all of my soap scraps and tiny bits through the food processor yesterday. This was the outcome. To me, it looks like beautiful sand or the decorative gravel on the bottom of an aquarium. Or even confetti in a confetti birthday cake…… So many thoughts and ideas flying through my brain on what kinds of soaps to make. I’m absolutely open to ideas and suggestions!! Please feel free to send them my way!! I’ll be making soap the weekend of April 25. Send me your thoughts 😁 ideas I choose will be gifted a sample of the soap that they suggested 💜
