Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons, and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The pharmacist at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?'

'Eight', the boy replied.

The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?'

The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four."

"Oh, really?" the pharmacist replied with a grin.

"Yes." the boy said. "We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim, play tennis and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do none of those."

"My daughter and I are in Myrtle Beach taking a sunset walk when this adorable and sweet little boy comes walking right up to her. He shares with her the shark tooth around his neck. He tells her his name and asks her name to which she tells him. They part ways while saying goodbye, walking in the opposite direction.
A few minutes later he comes running back, in what seems to be in slow motion, yelling out my daughter's name. She turns around and is greeted by his smile. So they share a few words, mainly about his super cool shark's tooth that apparently gave him powers 🙂.
Before they walked, talked and raced, I asked his mother for permission to take this picture and this was the result. No one positioned them, told them to smile and there was absolutely no hesitation on their part at all. When we finished walking and it was time to go they hugged for a long time and exchanged about 20 "goodbyes"
This is a moment that we humans understand as just simply seeing no color lines, no judgement, no race, no hate, no shades. It's just pure....two kids meeting on a sunset walk without a care in the world...all they saw was each other.
This world would be a much better place if we acted like these two kids."

We’re announcing today, that Uforia Salon and Spa has been sold. I hope you are not shocked by the news. Personally I am more than ready to retire and delighted that a local hairstylist will be taking the reins. Congratulations to new owner, Hair Care by Tiffany!

On a personal note:
I want to thank all our clients for their loyalty and kindness over these many years. Without you there is no reason to be. We’ve been together for a very long time; some as long as 45 years and more. Many of you have followed us all over Monroeville on our many salon ventures.

The years have flown by so fast, I forgot that I’m way past retirement age, it’s time to hang up my scissors and combs; to rest and watch the new hairdressers rise to the occasion.

It’s time....I’ll still be around if ever you want to talk or need hair advice or maybe lunch. Hopefully I’ll have more free time
now to do whatever I want.

I’ll never forget you....your loyalty and friendship, the fun conversations and life experiences we’ve shared. My goodness, I’ve practically grown up with some of you from the days of a freestanding Kaufman’s and The Adoria Salon. So many memories to cherish.

Linda, Steve and Janis will move to Camusos Salon, 2350 Golden Mile Highway in Plum (on 286 near Shop and Save) and would be thrilled to see you there. Call 724-325-1950 for appointment.
