October 3rd, 2021 K*t Above celebrated a milestone anniversary! Fifty fabulous years!! Mr. Larry is going to do some celebrating around the holidays. Instead of sending the family on a fun-filled vacation, he's actually going with them. That's right!! When the doors close at the end of the business day on Christmas Eve, they won't reopen until regular business hours January 4th. Please plan ahead.

💇‍♂️💇‍♀️ IT'S HAPPENING! TUESDAY AT 7:30 AM!! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️

Time to get those hairs cut by your favorite barber. Larry will be opening the door at K*t Above on Tuesday. We do have some restrictions to follow. It's all about keeping contact to a minimum.

1. If at all possible, please call 📞 and make an appointment. 262-2662. We can't have people in the lobby.
2. Sorry! 🚫 We can't offer any coffee, candy or reading materials.
3. If you come in and see Larry is with someone, let him know you are there but step back outside. We must keep a distance between you and that client, plus some sanitation must be done before you come in for your appointment.

This virus is still very much an issue in our community. We're definitely going to do our part and follow the guidelines set forth by ADPH. We have missed you all and looking forward to seeing you soon.

*I'm going to attempt to convince Larry this is the new attire in the guidelines. 🤣

We are still following the order in place by Governor Ivey. Unfortunately, some throughout the state are not and this is creating havoc. Those barbers/stylists are being fined $500 and the Health Department is threatening to revoke licenses for non-compliance. Larry went to the shop today to water the plants. MPD showed up. This is a little crazy, but hopefully we'll be back behind our chairs soon. Please bear with us.

It's been a long time since we've seen them!😭 Give your hairdresser or barber a shout out!

Well...will a ride down to the coast help your feelings? 🏖 The beaches will be open Friday, but we will not. Gov. Ivey will instruct us further closer to May 15th.

Guess we're back to waiting. ⏳

Tomorrow at 11 am we will find out what Governor Ivey is going to allow us to do. We're sure, if allowed to open, it will be with recommendations from the ADPH and we'll be working feverishly to get everything in place.

I just spoke with Larry via text and asked if he was ready to rock and roll on Friday (if allowed). He said he'll be standing at the door ready.

We've missed you ALL, but do know we are watching, waiting and will do all of this responsibly. Stay tuned!
