A modern styling + updo Look & Learn, complete with cocktails and an evening of creativity.

✂️ 11/3 — Love It or Lust It: Butterfly Cut
A full hands-on day breaking down the butterfly haircut, layering, sectioning, styling and how to translate the trend to the guest sitting in your chair.

And because education should feel like an EXPERIENCE… we’ll also have a catered lunch for the day class, plus both classes include products, cute totes and goodies to take home.

My goal is always the same: you have fun and leave inspired, but you also leave with techniques you can use behind the chair TOMORROW.

Bright blonde is pretty… but this is what The Hair Retreat is really about. 🤍

She’s been in my chair for years, and every visit feels like catching up with a friend.

This time, we created a fresh, bright, cool blonde ✨but more than that, we had one of those conversations that reminds me why I believe doing hair is about so much more than hair.

She’s in a new chapter of motherhood, carrying worry about how to help her son feel confident and understood as he starts school.

We talked about the importance of him knowing that the way his brain works is simply part of who he is and that he doesn’t need to hide it, apologize for it, or be anyone other than himself.

And somewhere between the foils, toning, laughter, and life talk… she started to feel a little lighter too.

That’s the feeling I want you to have when you come to The Hair Retreat.

A place to exhale.
A place to be cared for.
A place where you can talk, laugh, process, be quiet if you need to… and leave feeling more like yourself.

Sometimes you leave with brighter hair.
Sometimes you leave with a brighter perspective.
Most days, I hope you leave with both. ✨🤍

July 1st, 2011

Today marks 15 years since I took a leap of faith and opened my first salon at 21 years old.

What started as one chair in a shared salon has grown into a journey I never could have imagined.

✨ I built a salon company with apprentices, commission stylists, and booth renters.
✨ I became a national educator and platform artist, traveling the country to inspire other stylists.
✨ I designed and built The Hair Retreat, a space that went on to receive global recognition.
✨ I’ve had the privilege of serving incredible guests, mentoring fellow professionals, and continuing to grow both behind the chair and on stage.

Today also marks another exciting milestone.

The Hair Retreat officially enters its next chapter as a Corporation.

To me, this isn’t just a business change. It’s a commitment to thinking bigger. Bigger education. Bigger impact. Bigger opportunities. Bigger dreams.

Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for every guest who trusted me with their hair, every student who sat in one of my classes, every mentor who challenged me, every brand that believed in me, and every friend and family member who encouraged me to keep going.

Fifteen years has taught me that success isn’t built in one big moment. It’s built through thousands of small decisions to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep believing in the vision…even when no one else can see it yet.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
