To everyone who joined us online and in person for our birthday celebration thank you! Your presence, your energy, your laughter, your movement, and your love made this milestone especially meaningful to Joe and Helen.

And as our birthday gift to you, enjoy the replay of our birthday class (BELOW), a little piece of the celebration you can enjoy, share with a friend, as a reminder of this wonderful Soma journey.
We have such deep appreciation for everyone who has been part of this journey with us. Seventeen years holds a lot of stories, friendships, movement, laughter, learning, and love. We are incredibly grateful for every person who has helped make Soma what it is today.

We were especially touched by all the fabulous ladies who stayed on for our monthly cuppa and birthday gathering. One thing that continues to move us is seeing how many people are willing to drive significant distances to attend public classes at Soma Ranch. Your commitment to Soma, to movement, and to being together means more than you may realize.
And together, we raised $88 toward our annual St. Jude fundraiser!

howdy! here’s the latest Soma News….

Helen & Joe are back from a fabulous time at our Soma Hiker’s Retreat Cabin in the foothills of the Olympic National Park. (more amazing photos to follow). For now we wanted to remind you about the upcoming fabulous classes and next Hero Journey Month (August, The Jester).

Natasha is teaching tomorrow, Saturday morning classes online. Helen will lead Monday 10am class, live at Soma (and online via zoom) with a most requested experience “Look Up”. This moving experience, to the music of Lauren Daigle, was one of the strong influences that encouraged Helen to create the Soma Faith Movement we have been developing this year.

Regular class rates apply. These classes are included in the 30 day Hero Journey Package.

As we move into August, we enter the refreshing space of The Jester archetype: the part of us that invites laughter, creativity, curiosity, and joy into everyday life. Through movement, meditation, EFT, prayer, and our new monthly SoundScapes, we'll learn how compassion becomes sustainable when it flows from a heart that is continually renewed.

Soma News — Soma Ranch Howdy! Helen & Joe are back from a fabulous time at our Soma Hiker’s Retreat Cabin in the foothills of the Olympic National Park. (more amazing photos to follow). Huge shout out to Cork This Tap That! We drive by all the time, but Tuesday was our first time going to Singo Bingo and it was an absolute blast! The staff was amazing, the DJ was a total hoot, and we loved how he got the whole place singing along. Everything was well organized from start to finish.

Karla, the owner, is incredible, she even remembered us though we hadn’t seen her in years! (since “Cork This” was in Montgomery) And to top it all off, Helen accidentally left her purse there with cash inside. They texted us the next morning to let us know they had it safe and sound. That kind of honesty and care says everything about this place.

We are really lucky to have places and people like this in our community. These businesses work hard to create spaces where people can gather, laugh, connect, and feel welcomed.

Supporting local businesses is really important, these are folks who truly care about the people who walk through their doors, and that kind of heart is difficult to find.

As Montgomery develops like “any town USA” we really appreciate and want to support the unique independent businesses. (we hope this post helps get the word out!)

Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend checking them out if you’re anywhere near Dobbin! or simply want to take a short drive for a fabulous entertaining experience….

or perhaps we create an overnight retreat here at Soma? we can include a fieldtrip over to CTTT (it’s 5 mins up the road) then back for bonfire and s’mores at Soma?

Both sessions will introduce the Hero Archetype, our focus for the month of May. A season centered on courage, devotion, and stepping more fully into our path. We’d love for you to join us in this month’s journey.

To support the rhythm of the month, we’ve curated a set of playlists to help you “get in the mood” for May’s theme:

Press play, move gently or freely, and begin to embody the work.

We’ve also appreciated hosting a capable property manager, Matthew, who joined us for a trial stay at the Ranch. Among many helpful contributions, he installed a security camera that allows us to monitor activity and care for the Soma space more intentionally. Having cameras and a property manager will help us (Helen & Joe) begin to travel, especially to visit family and our Soma Cabin in the PNW . We also love helping the future owner of Soma Ranch, setting them up for success.
