My Dad’s Tehran - I beg of you to take a moment to see how beautiful life was there. This is my family, my heritage. A graceful, beautiful, intelligent, hospitable people. This is about sharing with you images that tell you the story that my Dad loved telling me. ♥️

I am posting this because I am thankful for my heritage as a Persian woman. My Dad (pictured first as a young boy) was born in Tehran and left for the United States before his 20th birthday in 1959. He often talked about his country and his memories of growing up there. The stories he shared were filled with joy. He passed away in 2022, and I know if he were alive today he would be praying with all of us for the safety of the people of Iran. I’m sharing a bit of his life and my family there. The true people of Iran are a gentle, intelligent, generous, and self sufficient people and my heart breaks to know how so many are suffering and dying even now. Please keep praying with me that this might end very soon. I truly believe in the power and sovereignty of my Lord, so I continue to pray that if it be his will, that all of this will be brought to an end. Everything to the glory of our great creator. Amen 🙏

Happy Anniversary to my knight in shining armor, my best friend. You are such a blessing, I can’t remember time without you. It’s been 12 years, but it seems like 5 minutes ago since we said “I do” I am so thankful that God has united us in Christ. I can’t imagine taking this journey with anyone else. Side note, the first picture was very early dating period, maybe 2008? Insane, we met and have been inseparable since. Love you Larry ❤️

How is this even possible? I just don’t know how fashion will go on without these 2. To think that now the beloved Andre Leon Talley is gone, my heart can’t take it. RIP sir, you are missed. 😞

“Walk Softly and…”

I have to say that this may have been one of my favorite looks from this shoot. I have always been a fan of powerful feminine looks expressed effortlessly and am naturally drawn to pieces that express that aesthetic in a soft quiet way.

I loved the laser cut vegan leather offset by the black net organza in this jacket so much that my mind went directly to a very film noir vibe. I mean, don’t we all wished that we were this woman? Commanding the room wherever she goes without one bit of thought or effort. ❤️

“When Elephants Fly”

Who says that you can’t have champagne before 5? This beautiful statement piece brings swirls of champagne bubbles to your day no matter what time it is!!! 🥂

A sparkle from the kiln fired dichroic glass jeweled button by Jewelry Artist finishes off this joyful work of art.

The hidden art panel employs multiple techniques of embroidery, passementerie, and origami to portray elephants soaring with birds in a fantasy of delight.
