Today, as barbers, we’re reminded that there’s a lot more to this profession than cutting hair.

Every day, people sit in our chairs carrying their own stories, their own struggles, their own memories, and sometimes things they don’t talk about with anyone else.

September 11, 2001 is a day that changed our country forever. We may be behind the barber chairs today, but we’ll never forget the men and women who ran toward the danger while others were running away. The firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and everyday Americans who showed incredible courage and sacrifice.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost. We remember the families who never got to say goodbye. We remember the heroes who gave everything trying to save others.

As barbers, we have the privilege of hearing stories from generations of people. Some stories are about where someone came from. Some are about where they’re going. And some are about moments in history they’ll never forget.

9/11 is one of those moments.

Today, behind our chairs and outside of them, we’re taking a moment to remember.

Never forget.

God bless the families who lost someone.
God bless the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸
