Their center & balance class after a busy day at work refills me and gets me prepped for a good nights rest.

Trying out something new this year.
I stayed away because I thought:
1. My nails are long and I’m not shortening them…
2. Is this something I can do?! No
3. My arms, i need to protect those bones!

As someone with early onset osteoporosis, I’m so careful and hesitant.
This class kicked my butt, but it went by fast and i got to punch the faces of people i don’t like and words that do in fact hurt me. Win! 😂
Also, BONUS, I was surprised at the beautiful familiar face I saw in class!

My spicy Chilean client asked for a miracle after a botched job with a razor and stylist. There were tears, but I was determined.
Razor cuts are not for everyone. Great haircuts are haircuts that last and look great even grown out.
Know your client. Know their grow out patterns. Know their lifestyle and maintenance availability.
I used 3 different scissors on her.
She left happy.

Let’s talk about the hair.
I get so many comments on my hair. Good and bad.
It’s short because I decided to cut it.
I cut it because I can.
Short hair doesn’t scare me. I’ve literally been bald before.
I tried to grow it out, but it wasn’t thick enough to look full longer. (You can look at my old photos when it was 6 inches longer)
I LOVE my hair short.
Long hair doesn’t = beautiful
Long hair is long hair and short hair is short hair.
Change is BEAUTIFUL.
I feel beautiful.
Chop the damn hair.
Stop forcing your hair length if it’s looking scraggly on its own.
Get extensions if you need density, volume and/or length.
Hair extensions & toppers are NOT something to hide or be embarrassed about.
As stylist, we see it equivalent to makeup, style, jewelry.
You can have long hair at ANY age.
You can have short hair at ANY age.
