Grace update: Still no babies! I had two possible breeding dates written down for her—which happens sometimes—so it’s looking like the second date was the right one. That puts her due around October 3. Back to waiting and watching!

Let’s talk canning. I’m at that point in the year where I’m tired and ready to slow down a little, but there’s still so much in the garden that needs preserved—like all these carrots.

Does anyone have a favorite way to can carrots besides just canning them plain? I’d love some different recipes!
