A little late posting… sweet Memorial Day photo.
Here’s a little back story. My Dad has Alzheimer’s disease. He spent the majority of his life on the farm. He and my grandfather were dairy men. Now that Dad lives in an Alzheimer’s care facility he really misses his former life. I am lucky to bring him to Legacy Farm Inc. to spend some time with Elsa. Being around the large animals makes him happy and gives him peace.

Last week I had the good fortune to ride Elsa a lot as the college I work was on spring break. By Thursday evening I was starting to shuffle when I got up from a chair. Reasons confirmed… riding is strenuous exercise. Here is a link to a scientific article to support what we have all known. The horse does not do ALL the work.
