💕 A Very Special Wedding Quilt 💕
One of the greatest blessings of our monthly sewing group is the friendships we build along the way.
Each month, a group of ladies gathers at our local church to sew for others. Throughout the year, we make dresses, skirts, shorts, quilts, bibs, and receiving blankets that are donated to organizations such as Haiti ministries, Empower Life, Living Alternatives, and a local Women's Residential House.
This time, however, our sewing project was a little different—and very special.
As a surprise wedding gift for Erin and her fiancé Joe, five of us ladies each made blocks for a quilt. Another talented friend assembled the quilt top, I had the honor of quilting it, and another friend completed the binding. Together, we created a gift filled with love, friendship, and many prayers for the happy couple.
Erin sews alongside us each month, and while the rest of us may be a little more seasoned in both life and sewing, she always brings joy, enthusiasm, and a willing heart. We truly enjoy having her with us and are grateful for the friendship we've built.
Keeping the quilt a surprise took some planning, but we pulled it off! We hope this quilt will always remind Erin and Joe of the love and support surrounding them as they begin this new chapter together.
Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds! ❤️
✨ Two beautiful quilts from Linda are fresh off the longarm! ✨
Quilt #1: Anna's Vision
This stunning quilt combines a modern layout with traditional quilt blocks, creating a beautiful blend of old and new. What makes it even more special is the story behind the fabrics—Linda's daughter selected fabrics from various places she visited, making this quilt a treasured collection of memories stitched together.
For the quilting design, we used "Molecule" from OESD Longarm Quilting. The flowing geometric pattern adds wonderful movement and texture while complementing the quilt's modern feel.
Quilt #2: Chicken Salad
This cheerful quilt pattern by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet was completed as part of a sew-along and is full of farmhouse charm and happy colors. To finish it, we quilted it with "Chicken Wire" by Urban Elements, the perfect pantograph to enhance the fun chicken-themed design.
Thank you, Linda, for trusting Quilting with Aunt Bee with these beautiful projects! ❤️
