Journaling is my happy place.
It’s where I go to listen to the quiet inside.
To follow the breadcrumbs of a thought I didn’t know I had.
To sit with the stuff that’s too slippery or sacred to say out loud.
Sometimes, journaling takes me to corners of myself I wouldn’t visit if I were just moving through the noise of the outside world. It’s inward. Reflective. Honest. It lets me be messy and brilliant at the same time. Sometimes what I didn’t even know I needed to say just rolls right through my hand, through the pen, and lands on the page like it had been waiting for me.
And once it’s there on paper it’s no longer rattling around in my head. Space opens up. Things soften. Clarity arrives, unannounced.
Journaling can be deep and tangled, or easy and light. You choose how far to dig. You can skim the surface and still feel seen. Or you can drop that bucket down into the deep well of your being and pull up something cool and true and holy.
I’ve got so many journals, y’all I could probably wallpaper a room with them. One day, they might become a memoir. Or a whole anthology. Who knows?
But for now, they’re where I meet myself daily, weekly, whenever the tug comes.
Have you ever thought about journaling?
Does your pen ever surprise you?
Drop a comment below and tell me.
And hey next weekend, I’m hosting a little journaling gathering. Just us, some good questions, and the quiet comfort of writing in community. I’ll send you the link if you want in.
Let’s pour it out together.

Black Gold Soy Candle
Immerse yourself in the luxurious allure of Black Gold. This soy wax candle captures the essence of ancient kingdoms and faraway lands, where gold shimmered like confetti and the air was filled with the warm, intoxicating aromas of exotic woods, fruits, and spices. With notes of patchouli, sandalwood, clary sage, orange, and grapefruit, this candle brings the mystery of ancient markets and the richness of royal treasures into your home.
Light Black Gold and let the earthy, citrusy fragrance spark your imagination. Picture yourself wandering through vibrant bazaars, the scents of aged wood and rare spices mingling in the air. As the candle glows, you’ll find yourself dreaming of distant lands, scrolling through travel pins, and planning adventures to civilizations of long ago.
