You don’t have to bleach ANYTHING to change EVERYTHING 👀
This transformation is a perfect example of working WITH the existing canvas instead of trying to erase it. The faded pink/red already gave us the warm foundation needed for fiery orange, while layering yellow over the blue helped create those little green moments on the tips instead of putting the hair through another unnecessary round of lightening. 🧡💚 Her scalp is also extra sensitive, so all of her natural new growth needed to stay completely untouched. Instead, chopped 6+ inches, added dark lowlights through the existing vivid placement, and changed the colors already there. Meaning less unnecessary lightening, nothing irritating her scalp, an easier grow-out, AND healthy virgin hair left untouched for whatever funkiness that is next!
Good color isn’t just about getting to the prettiest end result… it’s figuring out the smartest way to get there 🎃

but even when we’re using all the colors, still want the hair to have movement… dark left between the rainbow, tiny pops hiding underneath, different colors showing depending on where the hair falls is exactly the chaos Danger Jones is needed for 👏🏻

her red + blonde were ready for some maintenance, but this appointment needed a ~liiiiiiittle~ more than just a refresh… added bangs, brought her red + blonde back to life, and added chunky purple throughout her old faded blue for a little spooky whimsy. 👻
and nope! we didn’t remove the blue first. 👀 Danger Jones 💜masquerade + 💙solitude went right over that existing canvas, giving us all that weird, dimensional blue-violet goodness without unnecessarily starting over.

Kristi Holland Carter old babylights + balayage had grown waaaay out, but still loved all that natural depth underneath. so instead of blonding everything, focused medium weaves right through the top, toned everything into a soft cool blonde, and left plenty of that darker dimension alone.
