One of the biggest myths in fitness:
Strength and muscle size are the same goal.
They’re not.
Strength is mostly neurological.
It’s your nervous system learning how to recruit muscle, coordinate movement, and produce force efficiently.
Muscle size is more structural.
It comes from volume, tension, fatigue, and recovery that force muscle tissue to grow.
They overlap, but they are not the same.
That’s why someone can be incredibly strong without looking huge, and someone can look muscular without being as strong as they appear.
If your goal is strength:
Lift heavier. Rest longer. Train technique. Track performance.
If your goal is size:
Use enough load, chase quality volume, control tempo, and recover well.
You can train both, but the emphasis matters.
The body adapts best when the signal is clear.
Stop training randomly.
Decide what you want.
Then train for it.
Strength is expressed.
Muscle is built.
Both require intention.
