Meet The Owner!
ILLUSIONS Hair Studio was created by Michelle Davis Priest. Michelle was born and raised in Columbia SC, where she attended Kenneth Schuler cosmetology school in 1990. After finishing school, Michelle was shortly offered a position with Redken as a platform artist. She then moved to Virginia, where she opened her first salon, ILLUSIONS by Michelle. After seven years, Michelle was then offered a position with Paul Mitchell as a national color trainer. At that time, she was married and had their first child. In 2003, she and her family decided to move to Charleston, so her daughter could be near MUSC. she then opened ILLUSIONS Hair Studio in 2004, where she is the owner operator. Today she enjoys her salons newer location on Highway 41, works with her daughter Devyn Priest, has a son attending USC Davis Priest, and has two sweet pups KO and Bella! ILLUSIONS Hair Studio is your neighborhood salon locally owned for 21 years. Where sizzling colors and sassy cuts are only a phone call away.

Meet The Stylist!
Hi! I'm Devyn Priest and I have grown up in the salon! My brother Davis and I, have watched my mom Michelle, run a successful business all by herself and have been inspired ever since. I knew this would be my career path from a young age and am grateful to have the best role model to assist in furthering my career. I graduated from Kenneth Schuler in 2022 and have been behind the chair for 3 years! My passion is in fashion color, I enjoy creating fun and expressive hair styles. A fun fact about me is I have a rescue cat named Mouse! My goal every day in the salon is to put a smile on all clients face and build the confidence they need in their day-to-day life! We are hosting a candle making class! The amazing people who run this class have an organization called “pup country”. They focus on helping dogs who have been lease behind after covid.
