To a SOUL SISTER on her birthday,
To the nights we barely remember on king street or Shem. To the random road trips “I don’t like it” being one of my particular faves. To countless flights just because one of us needed to get away, or let’s face it we needed one another. To euro trips (many more to come). To divorces, bad boyfriends and sometimes just bad choices. It all lead us to right where we are. To this friendship I am so very grateful for, and to this phenomenal woman on her special day (albeit it’s a day late). She accepts my crazy gracefully and for that I am forever grateful. To Dan, I couldn’t ask for a better commitment. I’m committed now and forever.

15 years. How in the world has it been 15 years? It’s hard to believe I’ve lived almost half my life now without you. This year is tough. I wish you could’ve met my daughter. I know you would love her as much as I do. It doesn’t matter how much time passes it still hurts just as much as that first day you left us. I only hope you’ve found peace, and you’re smiling down on all of us. We love you so much, and we miss you every day.

And just like that our baby is ONE. It was so incredibly hard to choose just 9 memories for this post; because she’s filled our lives for the last 365 days with so many beautiful memories. Parenthood isn’t always easy, but I can say it’s definitely worth every late night and every early morning. Every sacrifice that and I have made to be this baby girls parents has been worth it. I can’t thank our families and framilies enough for the love and support they’ve shown this last year. I can’t wait to see this sassy, spirited girl grow into the beautiful woman she’s destined to be. Happy birthday sweet Violet. Momma and Dada love you. 💜
