We’re not your typical PT clinic - our therapy targets organs and body systems, not just muscles and joints. This level of care sets us apart.

No cookie-cutter exercises - just real, root-cause healing. At PDR Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, we do more than just treat muscles and joints. We specialize in highly advanced, hands-on physical therapy that addresses the entire body, including internal organs and body systems. Using unique techniques like Fascial Counterstrain, we’re able to treat not only pain and dysfunction in the muscles and spine, but also issues related to the nervous system, vascular system, lymphatic system, and even digestive organs. While most physical therapy clinics stop at the surface, we dig deeper, getting to the root causes of your symptoms and helping your body heal from the inside out.

👉 Back Pain After Sitting All Day?

Your chair may not be the only problem. Prolonged sitting can reveal limited hip mobility, reduced core endurance, muscle imbalance, or a workstation that does not fit you.

Over time, these factors can place additional strain on the lower back and make standing, walking, or changing positions uncomfortable. A physical therapy evaluation can identify which joints, muscles, and movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms.

Physical therapy looks at the full picture and helps you develop practical strategies for work and home.

Could the Lymphatic System Be a Missing Link in IBS and Bloating?

IBS symptoms are not always related to food alone. The lymphatic system helps maintain fluid balance, support immune function, and remove cellular waste—including within the abdominal area.

Restricted diaphragm movement, abdominal tension, scar tissue, and shallow breathing may affect lymphatic flow and contribute to feelings of heaviness, pressure, or bloating.

Depending on your needs, treatment may include manual lymphatic drainage, gentle abdominal and visceral therapy, myofascial release, and breathing techniques.

Physical therapy does not cure IBS, but supporting the lymphatic and musculoskeletal systems may be a helpful addition to your medical care.

When walking becomes painful, your body automatically looks for another way to move. You may roll toward the outside of the foot, place less weight on one leg, shorten your stride, or rotate the hip differently—often without noticing it.

These compensations can increase stress on the ankle, knee, hip, or lower back. That is why treating only the painful spot may not provide lasting improvement.

At PDR Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, we examine foot and ankle mobility, strength, balance, weight distribution, and walking mechanics. We also assess how the entire leg and pelvis contribute to the problem.

Depending on what we find, treatment may include hands-on therapy, targeted strengthening, balance and gait training, or custom orthotics. We specialize in complex foot and ankle problems, including symptoms that have not improved with previous treatment.

👉 Custom Orthotics Should Do More Than Cushion Your Feet

Store-bought inserts usually provide the same general shape and support for everyone. But two people with foot pain may have completely different problems—such as excessive pronation, uneven weight distribution, limited foot or ankle mobility, or changes in the way they walk.

At PDR Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, we evaluate your foot structure, alignment, gait, symptoms, and how your feet affect the knees, hips, and back. Based on this assessment, we create custom cork-and-leather orthotics designed specifically for your individual mechanics.

The goal is not simply to make your shoes feel softer. It is to provide support where your body actually needs it and improve how forces travel through the entire lower extremity.

If generic inserts have not helped, it may be time for a truly individualized solution.

👉Your Ankle Still Matters After the Swelling Is Gone

Once an ankle sprain looks better, it is easy to assume it has fully healed. But lingering stiffness, weakness, or reduced balance can increase the risk of another injury.

Physical therapy can help restore mobility, stability, and confidence before you return to normal activity. Call us to schedule your free discovery visit at (847) 459- 4779.

Persistent bloating may also be influenced by abdominal tension, restricted diaphragm movement, scar tissue, breathing patterns, or limited mobility of the tissues surrounding the digestive organs.

At PDR Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, we use gentle techniques such as abdominal and visceral manual therapy, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, and breathing exercises. Treatment is personalized and does not involve forceful pressure.

Physical therapy does not replace medical or gastrointestinal care, but it may help reduce tissue tension and support more comfortable movement in the abdominal area.

When Shoulder Pain Makes Everyday Tasks Difficult

Reaching into a cabinet, putting on a jacket, or sleeping on one side should not feel like a major challenge.

Shoulder pain may involve the joint, rotator cuff, shoulder blade mechanics, posture, or even the neck. A detailed physical therapy evaluation helps determine what needs attention.
