They’ve called me “too much” my entire life.
I finally realized that wasn’t my problem… it was theirs.
Too much, too loud, too happy, too sassy..blah blah blah.
All they’re really saying is that they can’t handle me.
And that’s okay, I’m not asking them to.
From the men who want to woo me but realize they’re not strong enough and the crowd chasers who don’t get why I don’t want to blend in..
Sorry not sorry.
I’m not going to blend in, stand aside or be quiet in my life.
I’ve worked too hard, dug myself out of rock bottom too many times and been hurt over and over..
And I didn’t do all that to become a wallflower.
No, this is my life and I’ll live it the way I choose.
I’m always respectful, polite and friendly.. until you do something to make me not be any of those things.
I give what I get and that’s all I ask in return.
So, if you’re thinking you don’t like me, don’t understand me or don’t want to be my friend, I’m good with that.
I only want people in my life that choose to be there and love me just the way that I am.
Those are my people and I couldn’t love them more.
The rest…the wannabes, the haters, the crowd chasers and negative nancies?
You can keep them.
I don’t have a place in my world for gross negativity.
Give me the sunshine, the happiness and good vibes all day long.
