I regret to inform you that Way Out West Esthetics is closing down for the time being.

The decision to close down this business was not easy, but because of recent circumstances I have no choice.

Over the past year, I enjoyed the relationships with all of my customers. I feel like a lot of you became family! This breaks my heart and I’m going to miss every single one of you!

I would like to thank all of our customers that I have done business with over the years. Way Out West could not have been as successful as it was without your support and loyalty.

Sincerely,
Amanda

(If anyone needs to order products one last time, I’m able to do that for you! I’ll also be selling the product in my treatment room, look out for that sale!)

This spicy, detoxifying facial contains a powerful yet gentle pumpkin enzyme to exfoliate and digest dead surface cells, improving skin's tone and texture. This 15% Pumpkin-orange enzyme will exfoliate and reduce oil while you can enjoy the wonderful smell of pumpkin and orange. For all skin types, ideal for those with surface congestion or visibly dry skin.

5 days prior to this facial stop using exfoliating skin care products. Including acids, retinols, scrubs, benzoyl peroxide or topical prescriptions. (12 months for Accutane)

The goal is to eat foods that are anti-inflammatory, gut supportive, and hormone balancing while avoiding foods that harm the gut/microbiome and cause inflammation and toxicity in the body.

The following foods are the main culprits to skin issues and aging skin:

Avoid: Processed Dairy(Raw dairy is the way to go), processed sugar, refined grains, vegetable oils.

Eat: You must give your body the building blocks it needs to produce hormones correctly. Make sure you have healthy fats, proteins, and vegetables at every meal to ensure it has all of the nutrients it needs to produce the correct ratio of hormones as well as detox excess hormones. You also should consume gut supportive foods to ensure a healthy microflora and gut function.

Healthy fats: avocado, avocado oil, coconut, coconut oil, olive oil, grass-fed butter or ghee, fish oil, wild-caught fish, sprouted nuts and seeds.
Protein: Organic, Grass Fed meat.
Vegetables: All types of vegetables and leafy greens. Especially cruciferous veggies which detox excess estrogen from the body.
Probiotic food and drink: Coconut water kefir, sauerkraut, kombucha

Two Skin Superfoods to Add:

Bone broth: It is full of healing essential amino acids, minerals, collagen, and gelatin that support every function of the skin. It has been shown to reduce wrinkles, even skin complexion, as well as support healthy hair and nails. Bone broth is a true beauty food.
Cod Liver Oil: Cod liver oil is full of essential fatty acids A and D which are critical to skin support. Vitamin A is a powerful vitamin that transforms the skin- especially acne. Rositas Cod Liver Oil is a great brand!

Are you looking for a quick, gentle, natural way to leave your skin radiant and refreshed? Then the enzyme peel is for you! Enzyme peels are composed of fruit enzymes and have many of the same results as chemical peels without the harshness and downtime.

Similar to a chemical peel, enzyme peels exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells while nourishing the new layer of skin it leaves behind. Opting for an enzyme peel will reap many benefits including:

🍂Unclogging and minimizing the appearance of pores
🍂Opening pores for easier extractions
🍂Removing dry, flakey skin
🍂Diminishing fine lines, wrinkles, and scars
🍂Fading age spots, sun damage, and redness

40 minute facial includes double cleanse, enzyme with steam, ice globe facial massage, mask, shoulder massage, & finishing products. 🤍

4 THINGS TO AVOID AFTER A FACIAL

1. Picking at Your Skin

If you’ve ever had a facial, then you know what happens within the next two to three days. Your skin will begin to purge. As your skin expedites its recovery, it pushes everything to the surface, and the end result is a healthy mix of whiteheads, pimples, and even blackheads. While it can be a bit maddening, rest assured that it’s a good sign. The important thing to remember is that under no circumstances should you pick at your face after a facial. Doing so can lead to further irritation and even scarring.

2. Wearing Makeup

“Can I wear makeup?”
This question seems to pop up repeatedly, and the answer to that is, “Ideally, no.” Immediately following a facial, it’s probably best to stay away from your makeup (at least for 24 hours). Again, remember that your pores are still open, and anything you apply to your face can irritate your skin and lead to a breakout. This is particularly true for makeup and the tools you use for its application because they tend to harbor healthy doses of bacteria. Needless to say, you don’t want that setting up shop in your pores.

3. The Gym

After a facial, your skin needs a minute to calm and repair itself. So, it may be best to skip the workout for a day or two, as sweat and other pollutants can cause or worsen irritation. Similar to the warning about wearing makeup after a facial, remember your pores are likely still open from the steam used during your treatment. You certainly wouldn’t want any sweat to make its way into those freshly cleaned pores.

4. The Sun

Freshly exfoliated skin is decidedly more vulnerable to harmful UV rays. So, after-facial care requires a conscious effort on your part to stay out of the sun. That’s not to say that you should avoid going outdoors altogether, but extended periods of time in direct sunlight is not the best move. If you are using Retinol or retinoids as part of your skincare routine, minimizing sun exposure is crucial, and at the very least, always apply SPF before leaving the house.
