There are only a few of each item left, and I’m going to wait to have another restock after everything is sold out. I’m currently giving myself a break so I can take better care of myself, and figure out what I want to do moving forward, for business and life. (I’ll post more about that later.) Ashanti’s Garden is not going anywhere, so don’t worry. I just want to take a step back, and reevaluate what I can do to help my business grow more, among other things. It’s been a while since I introduced myself and this space. I want to start posting more for this Journal, so I decided to start with this reintroduction.

Welcome to Ashanti’s Garden. My name is Ashanti, and I’m one of the creators of this small business since 2017. I studied herbalism at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine back in 2018, and I’ve been self-teaching myself ever since. I create all natural, medicinal bath and body products, herbal remedies, and all natural beeswax candles, made with mostly organic and homegrown ingredients. I also create art prints and coloring pages.

This business was given to me by my father, and we have been working together ever since. What started as a business selling homegrown perennials and ornamental grasses, Ashanti’s Garden has expanded to sell his organic produce and plants, along with my products previously mentioned. Even now, we plan to expand even further. (Fun Fact: The name Ashanti’s Garden was created by my father, who was inspired by me as a child playing in our old family garden.)

This website is a space for my shops, the main Shop, the Secondhand Shop, and the Local Produce Pickup Shop. If you live locally, check out the “Local Markets and Events” tab. This Journal is where I’ll share some announcements, herbal profiles, recipes, and more. Important Update
Hi everyone. I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been slowly restocking for the Spring Shop Update, but I’m not entirely sure when I’ll be able to launch everything. Business online has been very slow for a while now. Ever since I switched from Etsy to Squarespace a few years ago, it’s been very hard to advertise and bring people to my website. Posting on social media has also gotten worse and worse over the years. I got so burnt out from constantly trying to post reels, and the results never reflected the work I put into them. No matter the number of views I got, I would only get little to no online orders for months straight. So I decided to stop posting reels for now. I’ve also been recovering from my health issues, so balancing my health with business/work has been a bit off track, but it’s getting better. On top of online orders being slow, farmers markets and events during the winter time are also very slow. Thankfully, the summer markets are almost here, so business will start to pick up there. As for online, I’m still working on it. I’ll keep posting the best that I can on social media, and even try to expand in more advertising methods. I’ve been at this business for 9 years now, and I plan on keeping it for even longer. If you would like to help me during this time, I would really appreciate it.
