Many people are shocked that I could do my Nana’s final glam for her funeral today. What they don’t realize is that on the morning she passed I had wedding makeup to do. A beautiful bridal party of 6. I got the news right before leaving to work.

After I completed that assignment I went home, laid face flat on my couch and began to weep.

As I was weeping my Nana visited me. I clearly heard her say “Girl, get up! I need you to get up and make sure I look good! Don’t let your Nana look a mess!” 😂 and as many people mentioned today, when Nana asks you to do something it is not a request… it’s a demand, and a demand that it’s done with excellence.
