That cuff squeezing our arm at every doctor's visit is important. It measures the amount of pressure flowing through our arteries with every heartbeat. If our blood pressure gets too high, the extra force can damage artery walls and create scar tissue. That makes it harder for blood and oxygen to get to and from your heart. The heart has to pump harder and gets worn out faster. If it can't get enough oxygen, parts can start to die. Get our blood pressure checked every 3-5 years if you’re 18-39. If you’re 40 or older, or if you have high blood pressure, check it every year.

The next time we're tempted to stay up later than we should, remember how comfy that pillow will feel and how good a full night's sleep is for our heart. In one study, young and middle-age adults who slept 7 hours a night had less calcium in their arteries (an early sign of heart disease) than those who slept 5 hours or less or those who slept 9 hours or more. The type of shut-eye they got was important, too. Adults who said they got good-quality sleep also had healthier arteries than those who didn't sleep soundly.

The prostate grows as we get older. We’ll almost certainly have symptoms, like urinary problems. A really healthy, low-fat diet will reduce the likelihood of prostate growth and may reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

When we’re stressed out, not sleeping, or drinking too much, we can’t get an er****on on demand, and a man’s er****on is a barometer for overall health. Exercising, eating well, and sleeping well are the best ways to be sure we’re a stud in the bedroom.

Mental health is really, really important. We think about several things, that we drinking too much. We should always paying attention to signs of depression or bipolar disorder, If we have a family history of mental illness, su***de, and/or substance abuse, we really need someone to help us review the signs and symptoms.

Get at least 7 hours. That’s not something we should compromise. Men think they can overcome sleep deprivation by exercising or whatever.

Getting enough nutrition is crucial. It’s more important than anything else except maybe sleep. Focus on nutrients rather than calories, and eat a variety of healthy foods. We can’t achieve optimum nutrition with limited choices.

The body gets very comfortable when we always do the same workout. We have got to keep varying our exercises, and they have to be an age-appropriate mix of aerobics, muscle training, and stretching.

Just because we are feeling well doesn’t mean that we are well. Have a tendency toward denial. Don’t ignore things like black stools, vision loss, or chest pain. Unfortunately, men have a tendency to do just that.
