Look at those shots! 😍🤩 And, if you have littles or grand littles - you need to visit her page and take a look. She does the most unique shots - I LOVE the vintage touch she provides with her props!!!

This brought me to tears! So grateful our community stepped up to help Catfeine Cat Cafe. I know their hearts are so full.🩵🩵🩵

Friends, the kitties need our help! If you've never been by Catfeine Cat Cafe, it's time to change that! They are just down the street from my studio, so I visit often. I can't imagine the loss to our community and the innocent lives they work so hard to save if they had to close their doors. You will never be pressured to adopt, and it is the most therapeutic little spot to visit - complete with great coffee! Please visit, share, support - they can't stay open without us.

I’m not gonna lie, 2025 has been hard. Lately it seems we’ve faced more lows than highs and it is really weighing on us. This is our slow time of year, and we expected that, but what we didn’t expect was such a slow summer. May through July typically carries us through our slower months, but that didn’t happen this year. Actually, every month this year is down from past years. For the first time in 6 years, I’m worried about our future. We just want to remind everyone that we’re here, and that we need your support. We work so hard to bring a happy place and safe haven for cats and people in our community. Catfeine really is special. You can show your love and support in so many ways. First and foremost, come visit! It’s the best and cheapest therapy you’ll ever find and for a good cause! We are also scheduling lots of fun events this Fall like bingo, yoga, trivia, and a murder mystery night!

Bottom line…We don’t do any of this for the money, but we can’t do it without it! We understand not everyone has the means to support financially. As we approach our 1000th adoption (991 currently-Whoo hoo!) we could not be more proud of the work we’ve done in the past 6 years. Keep an eye out for those celebration details coming soon!

Can we chat about the Ruthies?
I’m always genuinely honored to be nominated and thankful for every vote that comes my way. But I’ve never been one to promote it… and I’m definitely NOT paying for ads to boost my chances of winning an award.

Every year like clockwork, the emails roll in—lots of them—encouraging nominees to buy ad packages to “increase exposure” and help secure votes.

Sure, these things are fun, but it loses a little sparkle when the goal is less about celebrating great businesses and more about padding DNJ and USA Today’s profits (lookin’ at you, usatventures.com).

I’ll take meaningful wins over marketing ones any day—happy clients, great skin, and a studio that runs on real relationships.

Literally, the biggest epidemic of beauty dollars tossed down the drain, and in many cases - poor skin health - is the result of listening to influencers. Please remember, an "influencer" doesn't know you, nor your skin, and quite often, they don't know anything about skin in general. "It gives my skin such a great glow" is not evidence of something working well. Pig lard can give you a great glow! 😘🐖🐽
