Saponifications and such

Cuts of espresso martini and sunflower sandalwood… I’m definitely feeling the pull of “false fall” in Murfreesboro. The first cut of the sunflower loaf looked like a jack o lantern 🤪 - and I love these little espresso martini owls… though the one with the squished eye reminds me of jiu jitsu. I need a soap mold with a broken nose… maybe I’ll ask my oldest to print one

They’re not the fanciest soaps in the world. But you will love washing with them and gifting them. Both batches made today - the espresso martini (also in fun owl shapes) AND a sunflower sandalwood that smells like a beautiful, bright/warm floral and has some glittery touches on top. I’m especially excited to cut those bars - I’m back to swirling multiple colors and theming the colors to match the vibes. Might be a day or two though, because they’re about 66% olive oil…

I’ve missed the owls and my lil honey bees…
So I made some.
They’re honey and cream scented, with a splash of lemongrass… I’ve already wrapped them, as they’re already cured and color morphing to a light brown.

There will be more owls soon. I’m playing with a fragrance called espresso martini next. 🤪

Soap should be fun, and good for you, and not cost a bajillion dollars.

I may not wear red every day, like my great grandmother. But I will absolutely sport hello kitty wear. I do confess, however, the heels on these are perhaps, more exceptional than anticipated.

Roll model grappling gave a shout out on their podcast this week, and Lauren is always hyping the soap wherever she goes. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I get discouraged sometimes, even though I love making it. I really feel like it’s a unique little service/ministry - something to cheer you up or give you a little boost when you need it.
