The Bowen technique was developed by Australian therapist Tom Bowen

The Bowen moves are believed to stimulate the nervous system, potentially helping to shift the body from a "fight-or-flight" (sympathetic) state to a "rest-and-digest" (parasympathetic) state.

The gentle moves are thought to help release tension and restrictions in the muscles, fascia (connective tissue), and other tissues, allowing for improved movement and function.

Bowen therapy can also stimulate circulation and lymphatic flow, which can help remove toxins and waste products from the body.
