The TWO types of pain…

1. Acute pain - Occurs because of an injury, generally disappears when the physical injury heals. Tissue injury is linked with Acute pain. EX: Surgical pain, Muscle strains, Orthopedic-type injuries, labor & delivery.

2. Chronic (persisted) pain - This pain last longer than the normal healing period. -3 months- EX: Fibromyalgia, Tension Headache, Migraine headaches, IBS.
